As an online magazine, divine.ca receives a lot of great products from wonderful companies. We test them out, we write about them… and then what? Instead of the editorial team snagging the hottest items to take home for themselves, we actually do things a bit differently around here:

For the second year in a row, right before the holiday season, we sell great beauty products to the rest of the team at the office: makeup, body creams, hair products… you name it, we sell it for cheap! As for the bigger items, we hold an auction and give them to the highest bidder. And, at the end of the day, the money raised goes to charity, and any remaining beauty products are given to a local women’s shelter.

Last Friday, we held our sale and auction, which was a rousing success, especially compared to last year’s! Our colleagues had a blast shopping for their loved ones, and the auction was full of friendly competition as they bid on everything from coffee makers to bathroom scales. In the end, over $2,000 were raised for the MS Society of Canada. Thanks to the divine.ca and BAM Strategy teams for getting so into the event and helping out a fabulous cause.
