Our names: given to us at birth, many of us can’t fathom ourselves as anyone other than what we’re called. Sometimes, we feel even blessed that a great name has been bestowed upon us, as opposed to a few other people on the planet. (We’re sorry, Kal-El Cage, we really are…)
Tomorrow, on August 11th, however, a select few people will be especially happy to have the names that they do… Tea experts DAVIDsTEA are holding a special event: David’s Day! The gist? For all their brethren named David, DAVIDsTEA is offering a free Tea of the Day! Whether you go by Dave or Davey, you’ll get your free tea. (Sorry, for all of you non-Davids already plotting: a piece of ID is required.)

Ahem… Also eligible: anyone with the last name Davidson. (Phew! We were getting worried that the ladies would be excluded from this fun event!)
This is definitely a fun initiative taking place from coast to coast! And, while all you non-Davids may feel excluded, we still say tag along with your father/brother/colleague/sister-in-law/boyfriend tomorrow, and purchase yourself a comforting warm tea or a refreshing iced tea. No use stewing for a day about being named Jill Waterson, after all!
