7 drugstore lip products we actually love

Is it time to switch up your signature pink or red for a vampy lip already? It seems like fall is everyone’s favourite season to play around with different colors. We totally understand if you’re looking into investing in a high-end lipstick for your go-to lip color, but if you’re trying to have fun this autumn, try out these 7 drugstore products we actually really love!

Nyx

Nyx is our go-to brand for affordable and quality makeup, especially when we are looking for something eccentric to try out. The brand is constantly releasing unique lip shades, so if you’re wondering if you can pull off that metallic lip without breaking the bank and then regretting it, Nyx’s Duo Chromatic lip gloss might be worth checking out.

L’Oréal

The French beauty powerhouse was never my go-to for lip products, although I love their face makeup. Their lipsticks simply never impressed me, until I tried the Infallible Pro-Matte Liquid Lipstick. The formula appears thick but spreads evenly, so you don’t need too much of it at all!

Quo

I would be lying if I said that my Quo Matte Lip Crayon hasn’t been my everyday lip color for the past week. The rounded edge makes it easier to apply the colour (except on the edges, but I’ll live), and it goes on so smoothly I sometimes forget that it is a crayon. If there is one thing on this list that you should definitely get, it’s the Matte Lip Crayon in Brick!

Essence

Essence is my best kept secret, but not for long. The small booth in drugstores dedicated to this amazing brand help keep it lowkey, yet it carries some of the best beauty products I have used for years! Their Waterproof Eyeliner Pen is the product I swear by (I like it more than the Kat Von D tattoo liner!), but they also make great lip products. An unique one I’ve seen is the Fade Your Shade pencil, which allows you to get a natural gradient lip without dirtying your fingers!

Revlon

This Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede lippie is the kind of product that you have to learn to work with in order to achieve the perfect look. It applies sheer at first, which lets you build it up the way you want it to! The sheer look is a great way to add a tad bit of color to your lips without making it the focus of your look.

Physician’s Formula

If there’s one thing better than Physician’s Formula’s packaging, it’s their Hypoallergenic Lipstick (in Coral!). This new release is a lot more inexpensive than their regular products, and is the product I carry in my bag all the time, when I need a little lip colour! The formula is creamy and long-lasting enough for me to not have to reapply it!

Rimmel London

I’m not one for bold colors, but the Kate Moss collection by Rimmel is one I’ve looked into, because of the simplicity of the shades. I pair it with a concealer around my lips when I want a natural look; these lipsticks are greatly versatile!
