V-Day Cocktail Recipes



 

February 14th is right around the corner, and dinner plans are set! But what about drinks? Worry not: we’ve got some suggestions that will surely be a hit with your sweetie. Grab that shaker, and go!


DURING COCKTAIL HOUR

Cabo Cosmo
 
1 oz of tequila
½ oz of Navan (vanilla-infused cognac)
2 oz of white cranberry juice
¼ of a lime
1 slice of lime
Put ice in a shaker, and add tequila, Navan, cranberry juice, and juice from the quarter lime. Shake vigorously and pour the mixture into a cold martini glass. Garnish with the slice of lime. Serves one.

 Pepper and Strawberry Martini
¾ oz of strawberry-flavoured vodka
¾ oz of Navan (vanilla-infused cognac)
2 oz of white cranberry juice
1 strawberry
1 pinch of freshly-ground black pepper
 

 

Put ice in a shaker, and add vodka, Navan, cranberry juice, and pepper. Shake vigorously and pour the mixture into a cold martini glass. Garnish with a peppered strawberry and a few grains of pepper. Serves one.

SPICE UP YOUR COCKTAIL!

Hot Caesar
 
1 oz of vodka
4 drops of Tabasco sauce
2 pinches of Cayenne pepper
4 drops of Worcestershire sauce
6 oz of Mott’s Clamato
1 pinch of celery salt, salt, and pepper
¼ of a lime
1 celery stick
1 small red pepper

Rub the rim of a cocktail glass with  the quarter of a lime, and then dip the rim into a bowl of celery salt. Fill the glass with ice, and add vodka, Tabasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Cayenne pepper, and salt and pepper.Add the Mott’s Clamato and mix well. Garnish with a celery stick and the red pepper. Serves one.

FOR DESSERT
 Chocolate Coffee
1 oz of Baileys (Original or Mint Chocolate)
½ oz of chocolate liqueur
2 oz of cold café mocha
1 oz of milk
Chocolate syrup
Chocolate shavings
 

 

Put ice in a shaker, and add Baileys, chocolate liqueur, café mocha, and milk. Shake vigorously and pour the mixture into a cold cocktail glass, preferably with its rim covered in chocolate syrup. While pouring the mixture, keep the shaker higher to create foam. Garnish with chocolate shavings. Serves one.

Iced Caramel Mocchiato

2 oz of Baileys (Creme Caramel)
1 oz of café mocha
3 oz of vanilla yogourt
1 oz of milk
Caramel syrup
1 caramel wafer
 
Add Baileys, café mocha, yogurt, milk and ice into a blender, and mix until smooth. Pour mixture into a cold cocktail glass. Garnish with caramel syrup and a caramel wafer.
