We love : the pyjama trend

Every fashionista can agree that the biggest dilemma is balancing style and comfort, especially according to the weather. Well, lucky for us, this new trend will make it easier to get dressed in the morning. The pyjama-top trend has been sweeping the runways as well as our Instagram feeds, and, well, we’ve come to the conclusion that’s it’s a wonderful trend. Here are three ways of wearing this stylish piece that won’t compromise style for comfort!

The embroidery

If the ‘fully’ pyjama look still feels too ‘pyjama’ for you (we get that!), try something with a bit of an embroidery for a youthful and vibrant look. Style it with high-waisted jeans for a casual lunch or brunch, and leather loafers or boots for a classic feel.

We like the Topshop ‘Vibes’ Satin Pyjama Shirt, $52, at Hudson’s Bay for this look!

From head-to-toe

For the bold ones out there, try styling the pyjama top with… pyjama bottoms! Tighten it around the waist area, pull up the sleeves, and pair the outfit with heels. You’ll look put together and classy in no time – plus, you’ll be the comfiest out there, guaranteed.

Try the DKNY Long Pajamas, $114.32, at Nordstrom if you’re afraid of mixing ‘pyjama’ patterns!

Layered

Bring back the layering trend with a twist this time by layering a light (and textured, if you’re feeling bold) slip dress over the pyjama top like you would with any other blouse or turtleneck! The light and dark contrast looks stunning for the fall, and the detailing on the pyjama shirt give it an intricate twist as opposed to a simple white cotton blouse.

The simple Missguided White Cami Crepe Shift Dress, $32 would look great with a navy top.
