I have real trouble relaxing and find meditation very difficult. I have just been reading a book about walking meditation which really appeals to me so I am going to give that a try, we are having lovely fall weather at the moment and I have a week off work so I am going take advantage of that and see how it goes. If anyone else is interested the book is "Walking meditation" (who'd have thought...) by Nguyen Anh-Huong and Thich Nhat Hanh, it has a dvd and cd included which I am finding more helpful than just the text.

I am a lot like you Shelby53. Love candles as I find them very calming. Relaxation through meditation. Love it also. I like the sound of flutes when I meditate. It`s something I don`t hear too often in this stressful environment. So it`s nice to hear.

Now this is a place I really need to be.I find it difficult to de-stress and relax with pain.. but I am learning.Love quiet music and sitting in the dark with candles and just sinking into the couch almost.. it helps a great deal!
