Q: What is idivine?
idivine is Canada’s first social network designed for women. Here you can customize your divine.ca profile, write a blog, meet other idivine users, join groups, upload photos and music and to tailor divine.ca to your needs.

Q: What can I do with a divine.ca account?
As a divine.ca member you can enter exclusive giveaways, create and customize your idivine profile, start a blog and upload photos and music, connect with other members, participate in the forum, rate and comment on stuff you read, and personalize divine.ca’s homepage.

Q: Are men allowed to sign up for a divine.ca account?
Divine.ca is designed primarily for women, but we don't discriminate; men are welcome here, too. If men feel comfortable in this environment, then by all means, they can stay and respectfully interact.

Q: How do I modify/update/change my date of birth or other personal details for my divine account?
To modify your account details—such as name, date of birth, sex, postal code, etc.—access your MyAccount page (under the pink MyDivine.ca tab) and clicking on the “Edit” link next to your Personal Information box. Don’t forget to press "Submit" when you’re done updating your info.

Note: There are certain details, such as changing your e-mail address, which will require you to contact us directly. Use the Contact Us link at the footer of every page and send an email to the technical department stating your request. Make sure to include your full name, email address and user name.

Q: How do I upload a new profile picture to my idivine profile?
To upload a new profile picture, go to the MyProfile page (under the green MyCorner tab). Click on the “Edit Profile Picture” link on the top-right hand corner of the page. You can then upload a profile picture. Once the picture upload is complete, click on the “Submit” button.

After you’ve clicked on the “Submit” button, click on “Return to my Profile”. Under the “My Info” section, you will see a box displaying the file name of all the profile pictures you’ve uploaded. Click on the one you would like as your profile picture. Press “update” when you’re done to save your changes.

Q: How do I accumulate idivine points?
As an active idivine member, you can earn points and become eligible for monthly draws for cool prizes. Click here for more info about earning idivine points.

Q: How do I meet other idivine members?
To meet other idivine members, just go to the Members page under the blue Community tab. This will list all current members. The column on the right acts as a search filter and can help you find the person you are looking for. Simply specify the details you look for in a friend. For example, if you’re looking for English speaking, single moms across Canada, select “English” under Language, “Female” under Gender, “Single”, “Divorced”, and “Separated” under Relationship Status, type: “kids” in the keyword field and click GO. If there are members fitting those criteria, they will appear on the next page. Browse their profiles, read their blog entries, and if you feel like you’ve found a fit, just click “Add Friend” to send that member a friend request.

You can type any word (or combination of words) into the keyword field to help narrow your search. If your search comes up empty, uncheck some of the fields and try again.

Please note that searching for people by their first or last names may not yield any results as this is information that users are encouraged to keep private.

To invite your current friends to join you on idivine, just go to the Invite Friends page under the pink MyDivine.ca tab and follow the instructions from there.

Q: I’m receiving emails and newsletters in French but want correspondence to be in English. How do I change this?
You are currently receiving our communications in French because your default language is set to French. To modify your default language, go to your MyAccount page (under the pink MyDivine.ca tab) and click on the “Edit” link next to your Personal Information box. Don’t forget to press "Submit" when you’re done updating your information.

Q: My idivine email notifications always get filtered into my email’s junk mail folder. How do I fix this so they go directly to my Inbox?
To protect you from SPAM, your email provider’s filter sometimes redirects certain emails to your junk mail folder, or refuses to deliver them altogether. The best way to ensure delivery of idivine email notifications  is to add admin@divine.ca to your address book. This will classify divine.ca as a trusted sender and keep our emails out of your junk mail.

Q: I don’t want all idivine users to see the photos I upload to my idivine account. How do I prevent this?
There are three levels of access available for all photo albums you create in your idivine account:

Public – Everyone can see this album
Anyone who visits idivine can view the information you’ve set to this access level, including people who are not members of idivine.

Friends – Only my idivine friends can see this album
Only your people you have added as your idivine friends will be able to see an album you’ve set to this access level.

Me – Only I can see this album
This level of access allows only you to see this album and it is hidden from everyone else, including your friends. Please note: the pictures will be visible to you, but invisible to everyone else.

These options are specific to each photo album, so you can choose a different level of access for each different album. If you want to change the access level for an existing album, click on the MyPhotos page (under the green MyCorner tab). Next, click on the “My Albums” link to show all of the photo albums you’ve created. You will also see the access level for each photo album. To change the level of access to a specific photo album, select “Edit album details”.

Note: These privacy setting options settings are also available for all of the information you enter in your profile—such as your Education Info, Work Info, Message Board, etc.—as well as for every individual blog entry you create.

Q: How do I keep the details I’ve provided in my profile private so other users cannot see them?
You may hide any information on your public profile. To do so, simply go into edit mode on your profile—click on “Edit my Profile” at the top right corner of your MyProfile page—click “Edit” on the My Info box and set the privacy settings for each field to “M – Me only”. Don’t forget to press “update” when you’re done to save your changes. Remember that the “M – Me only” setting still allows you to see your information but rest assured that it is hidden from everyone else.

Q: How do I add content to my idivine profile page?
To add content to your profile, just click on “Edit My Profile” (at the top right corner of your MyProfile page) to go into edit mode. Then click on the “Add content” link that will appear in the top right corner of your MyProfile page. When you click on it a box will open in the top left corner. Just select the content you want to add and it’ll appear on your profile.

Q: On the “Invite Friends” page, I entered my idivine Username and Password and clicked on “Invite my friends” but a message appeared that said “Incorrect user name or password”. How can I fix this?
On the Invite Friends page, the username and password you’re being asked to enter is not your divine.ca login information, but the login information for your webmail provider (Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.). To make inviting friends easier and faster, you can login to your webmail’s contact list; we’ll tell you if any of your friends are already on idivine, and you’ll be able to invite the ones who aren’t with the click of a button.

If you prefer to enter each friend individually, just scroll to the bottom of the Invite Friends page (to the box that says “Enter friends’ email addresses”) and enter the name and email of each friend you wish to invite.

Q: How do I invite my friends to idivine?
Head over to the Invite Friends page.

There are 3 ways to invite friends: by using the contacts in your webmail provider, by using your social network contacts, or by entering each friend’s email one at a time.

To make inviting friends easier and faster, you can login to your webmail’s contact list; we’ll tell you if any of your friends are already on idivine, and you’ll be able to invite the ones who aren’t with the click of a button.

To update your profile, just click on “Edit my Profile" (at the top right corner of your MyProfile page) to go into edit mode. Then click on “edit” in the My Info box (the one with your profile picture). Within this box, you’ll be able to change your settings. Remember to click “Update” when you’re done.

Q: How do I deactivate my idivine profile?
You may deactivate your idivine profile at any time (you will still have access to the contests and retain your user name and password), just go to the bottom of your MyAccount page.

If you wish to have your account deleted completely, click on the Contact Us link at the footer of every page and send an email to the technical department stating your request. Make sure to include your full name, email address and user name.

NOTE: If you deactivate or delete your account, you will lose all your existing idivine points and they cannot be reinstated.
