|
MONTREAL, QC, June 03, 2009 -- Divine.ca, the bilingual online destination for Canadian women, announced today that Tanya McGinnity has joined the company as its Marketing and Community Manager and will be responsible for enhancing and expanding participation within this already strong community-driven website.
Tanya has an extensive web agency background with experience on many large scale accounts and has a keen understanding of the workings of all aspects of both interactive and print production. She is well-versed in creating and caring for communities and has helped to launch and cultivate many successful social media campaigns throughout her career.
“Tanya’s impressive reputation and extensive experience in the online space make her the ideal Marketing and Community Manager for divine.ca,” noted Maya Meyouhas, Editor-in-Chief at divine.ca, “We are thrilled to have her on our team as divine.ca continues to grow.”
McGinnity is an avid blogger, Tweets with ferocity and knows how to get brands to engage honestly and with integrity in the participatory web without being too forceful or off target with their messages.
With a strong commitment to social issues and community development, Tanya created the Montreal Girl Geek Dinners group as a means to encourage more women to embrace their “technical selves” and share their experiences and knowledge with others.
“I admire divine.ca in their efforts to deliver positive content to women’s lives. The fact that they are about supporting and encouraging women to be their very best along with their support for social issues is something that I knew I wanted to be involved with,” said McGinnity.
