When it comes to cooking, there’s some novelty. We have replaced butter and margarine by olive oil, coconut oil or sesame oil, but there’s now a new oil in the aisles. Camelina oil is known for its Omega 3, 6 and 9, as well as for its high amount of vitamin E. It is easy to cook and tastes delicious when added in vinagrette dressings. The camelina plant, that is mostly found in Eastern Europe, is actually also cultivated in Quebec by the company Oliméga, the same brand that offers the et Voilà! oil. This nutty oil will be a favourite of ours this year. Definitely worth trying!
et Voilà! camelina oil, starting from $11,99 in groceries and specialized food stores.
