Spring has sprung, and with a sense of freshness and renewal, comes a slew of great new films in the coming months. What’s in store? Whether you enjoy comedy, romance, action or drama, there’s a little something for everyone this season. Check out six movies we’re anxiously waiting for!

Friends with Kids
Release date: March 9
Since its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2011, we’ve been eagerly awaiting for this film to hit theatres. Jennifer Westfeldt wrote, directed and stars in this movie about two friends who decide to have children together, but then date other people. It boasts an ensemble cast that also includes Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Chris O’Dowd (talk about a Bridesmaids reunion!), Adam Scott, Megan Fox, and Ed Burns. View the official trailer.

21 Jump Street
Release date: March 16
Yes indeed, it is a movie version of the hit 1980s television series! It stars Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum as two cops who go undercover to bust a drug ring at a local high school. Johnny Depp—who starred in the original series—has confirmed a cameo appearance in the film. Keep your eyes peeled! View the official trailer.

The Hunger Games
Release date: March 23
It is one of the most talked about young adult series in recent years, and its film version is almost here! Based on the first novel of the trilogy, Jennifer Lawrence stars as Katniss, a teen in a post-apocalyptic world, hoping to get chosen for the Hunger Games, a merciless competition in which one contestant kills all others. The prize is food and supplies, which Katniss desperately needs to take care of her mother and sister. View the official trailer.

The Lucky One
Release date: April 20
Movies based on Nicholas Sparks’ novels may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but they definitely tend to be hits at the box office and a fave among the romantic at heart. Zac Efron stars as a US Marine who, while on a tour of duty in Iraq, finds a photo of an unknown woman and keeps it as his lucky charm. He eventually finds her, and the twosome form a bond. The Five-Year Engagement
Release date: April 27
Jason Segel and Emily Blunt star as an engaged couple who, due to various circumstances, keep putting off their wedding, which puts a strain on their relationship. Will they eventually walk down the aisle? We can’t wait to find out! View the official trailer.

The Avengers
Release date: May 4
Featuring a bevy of characters from other hit Marvel Comics films (Iron Man! Thor! Captain America!), The Avengers is the latest flick in which a team of superheroes get together to save the world from destruction. It has a stellar cast, including Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner and Scarlett Johansson, and we’re sure it’s a movie to be enjoyed by both you and sweetie. View the official trailer.
