M. Night Shyamalan’s directorial efforts have really gone downhill since The Sixth Sense! One of his more recent films was 2008’s The Happening, which starred Mark Wahlberg and Zooey Deschanel. It was during a press conference for The Fighter that Wahlberg admitted that starring in the psychological thriller was a bad idea. “It is what it is. F***ing trees, man. The plants. F*** it. You can’t blame me for not wanting to try to play a science teacher. At least I wasn’t playing a cop or a crook.”
