Selma Blair axed from Anger Management
(BANG) -Selma Blair has been axed from 'Anger Management' after clashing with Charlie Sheen.

Lionsgate, which produces the TV sitcom, has confirmed the actress will not return to the show following her ''heated battle'' with its leading star, who was left furious after learning that she had allegedly complained about his work ethic to producers.

In a statement, the TV studio said: ''We are confirming that Selma Blair will not be returning to 'Anger Management' and we wish her the very best.''

Charlie - who was fired from his previous hit sitcom 'Two and a Half Men' in 2011 after his infamous hell-raising lifestyle got out of control - reportedly discovered that Selma, 40, had told executive producers the 47-year-old actor was difficult to work with and constantly late, resulting in him threatening to delay production on the show if she wasn't fired.

A source told E! News engaged in a ''heated battle'' behind the scenes on the comedy series, adding: ''Things have gotten ugly.''

The insider explained that, while the actor doesn't have the right to fire anyone, Charlie ''certainly can make production impossible.''

In the sitcom, Charlie plays therapist Dr. Charlie Goodson, while Selma - who has been with the series since it started in 2012 - played his therapist, Dr. Kate Wells.

Charlie "Mr. Hyde" Sheen strikes again. What a worthless excuse for a human being.

Depends whose side you are on. The thing is Kate's character is far more vital to the show (I was hoping he'd get rid of Shawnee Smith, who has completely forgotten how to act or talk!) than his wife, daughter or neighbour, for instance (no offence, Michael Boatman!) and unless he finds another steady "not-love interest" there will be a huge gap in the show.

I am not saying Charlie can do no wrong, but it is HIS show and he has the right to do it as he sees fit.

Doesn't she realize that it is his show and she was lucky to be offered a part. Does she not also realize that it will be very easy for the writers to write her out and write in a new therapist and there will be lots of fresh, new story lines in the doing.

Selma Blair is the reason why people decided to give Charlie Sheens new show a try. Charle Sheene is an irresponsible addict. I believe because Selma Blair was a known and likeable character that the show sill exist. Get rid of the pathetic exwife.

Maybe you, Susan, not the rest of us. Charlie Sheen (no E) is the reason the rest of us did. We loved him on Spin City, we loved him on Men, and we love him now. I read a review BEFORE the show aired that there was no chemistry between the actors, which worried me, but Selma Blair just didn't do it for me (never mind Shawnee Smith, who has forgotten how to act believable).

And it ain't people like you who are his target. An unprecedented FOUR YEAR pickup for a show in its first year? That says a LOT about star power. Not Selma Blair's. Charlie Sheen's. Long may he reign and long may he remain drug-free.

Susan, she may have been the reason you watched the show but she was only incidental to the show being produced. Sure she is good but she didn't come from a hit show where she was being paid over a million dollars an episode. The producers were hoping for the same magic that happened with 2-1/2 Men and by magical I mean making them big bucks. In any work situation a tattle tale, complainer doesn't win. If a secretary complains about the president she has to realize he can fire her (or have her fired) but she can't fire him. Same thing here. The decent thing to have done would have been to approach Charlie in a professional manner and ask how she could be of help to end the problems not running off to the producers demanding things be done. Guess she found out she isn't as important as she thought she was. Was she hoping they would kick him off the show and it would become her show!

This was the first I heard that Blair was even on the show (obviously I don't watch it). That should pretty clearly indicate how important her name is compared to Sheen's.
