    Fashionable Winter Headwear

Whoever said that keeping your head warm and looking trendy are mutually exclusive? Not us! We love finding the perfect accessory that will keep our ears toasty and our look stylin’ all winter long. We’ve got five different suggestions, as well as tips on which type of ‘do goes best with each.
1.The beret. A beret gives you a look that is soft, artsy and sweet, and it’s easy to tuck your ears underneath. This style is best worn with your hair loose—straight, wavy or curly—regardless of whether your hair is short or long. Marbled Beret, $14.50 at Old Navy.

    2. The earmuffs. Earmuffs don’t necessarily keep your head warm, but at least your ears won’t freeze off in the subzero weather! They come in all shapes and styles, from plain to more girly, and are the best choice for when you’re sporting an elaborate coif that you don’t want to mess up. Gaucin Earmuffs by Juicy Couture, $80 at Little Burgundy.

    3. The headwrap. Remember wearing these when you were a little girl? A headwrap is great for high ponytail days, as well as low side ponies and even braids. We love this cutesie flower one—think of it as the outdoor version of the current bow and flower headband craze! Blustery Bloom Headwrap, $26.64 at Anthropologie.

    4. The cap. For an edgier, more boyish look, a cap is the way to go! It definitely offers more head coverage than the earmuffs and headwrap, and keeps you looking cool. Leaving your hair loose, or tying it in a low side pony or braid works best with this choice. Froedie Cap, $14.99 at Spring.

    5. The Tuque. As far as warmth goes, this is your best bet. A cute tuque can look super stylish when worn over a shoulder-length bob, or long, loose tresses. Just make sure have a bit of styling cream in your bag to smooth over any static in your hair when you take it off! Turnell Tuque, $18 at Aldo.
