Remember how fun Halloween was when you were a little kid? There’s no reason you shouldn’t enjoy this spooky holiday just as much as a grown-up. Why not do a little something special to your makeup to stand out on October 31st? We’ve got three unique Halloween makeup ideas; so grab your black liquid eyeliner get your creative juices flowing!

#1 Pumpkin Eye

Must-haves
Orange eyeshadow
Black liquid eyeliner
Glitter gel

How-to
Using the black eyeliner, draw the shape of a pumpkin around one of your eyes (not both!), with the bottom of the pumpkin at nose level, and the upper stem just perpendicular with your eyebrow. Using an eyeshadow brush, apply the orange to the inside of the pumpkin shape, without making it too opaque. Use a sponge applicator to reapply orange eyeshadow on your upper eyelid, all the way up to your brow. You can apply glitter gel to the inside perimeter of the pumpkin for a more glamorous touch, making sure not to let the glitter get too close to the eye. Finish with a coat of regular black mascara.

#2 Glamour Puss

Must-haves
Black liquid eyeliner
Glitter gel
Glitter eye liner (optional)

How-to
Start by drawing a thin line of black liquid eyeliner along your upper and lower lash lines. Then, draw a second line along your upper lashes, thickening the line as you move towards the outer corner of the eye. End the line in a sharp upwards point (about 1cm long) forming 45-degree angle with the eye. Lengthen the line at the inner corner of the eye by continuing to trace it downwards, ending about 1 cm below the inner corner of the eye. Finish with a coat of black mascara on upper and lower lashes.

Still using the liquid eyeliner, carefully draw three whiskers on either sides of the nose. You can also draw a triangle on the outer half of each of your eyebrows to create “ears”. Add glitter gel to the insides of the ears. You can also add glitter gel to cheekbones, and lips.

Go over your eye makeup and whiskers with glitter eyeliner to become an even more glamorous cat!

#3 Ice Queen

Must-haves
White shimmery eyeshadow
Shimmery loose powder
Bright green eyeshadow
Aqua blue eyeshadow
Concealer
Clear mascara

How-to
Create a pale smoky eye using the bright green shadow in the crease of your upper eyelid and the white shimmery shadow on the rest of your eyelid. Line your lower lashes with the aqua blue shadow, dipping your liner brush into water first to get an opaque colour.

Apply concealer to your lips, and dust the white shimmery powder over your entire face. Apply white shimmery eyeshadow over the concealer on your lips, adding touches of blue shadow to the corners of your mouth and middle of your lower lip.

Finish by applying a coat of clear mascara to both top and bottom lashes, and dusting some shimmery white eyeshadow over them lip to create a truly “frozen” look.
