Amélie Ducharme shares her secrets
We already filled you in on Pantene spokesperson Denis Binet’s cutting edge hair looks for spring-summer 2012, which were showcased at the latest edition of Montreal Fashion Week. But what about makeup trends? CoverGirl makeup pro Amélie Ducharme shares two of her look inspirations, as well as the step-by-step instructions for achieving them.
“I was inspired by young girls who live in the French and Italian countrysides. I wanted to create the perfect look for a stroll in the wheat field.”
“Apply NatureLuxe Liquid Foundation (with a brush on a clean and moisturized face, and then smudge a bit of concealer in the corner of the eye to camouflage imperfections.
“I wanted to simulate the effect of an eyebrow lightened by the sun. To do it, I covered a mascara wand with the Simply Ageless Concealer and applied it to the brows.
“I didn’t use any mascara in order to amplify the natural effect.
“On the eyelids, I used Smoky ShadowBlast 815 to create a light smoky eye. First, I applied the beige hue on the upper lid, and then the dark brown at the crease. The creamy texture of the eyeshadow gives both a light and a shadow-y effect.
“Apply Clean Pressed Powder in a shade that is twice as dark as the natural skin colour on the cheekbones for a bronzed effect.
“For the lips, I was going for an effect that conjured the image that the girls had just eaten red berries. So I used the Lip Perfection 200 Lipliner on the entire lip using short strokes.”
Pro tip: “Add a bit of clear ShineBlast gloss on the eyelids and cheekbones to create an instant touch of warmth!”
