Inspiration in pictures

It’s time to let your imagination run wild. Discover the season’s fashion trends through the images that inspired designers. Below, we also propose a few key pieces, unearthed in the showrooms of our favourite labels. Put on your sunnies, ladies: it’s getting hot, hot, hot in here!

Seaside

What if we headed to the waterfront? From azure to turquoise, our wardrobe borrows from the many sea-inspired blues and greens. Fluid fabrics and pearlescent finishes intertwine with purely marine shades. The trick is to naturally shine, all while pairing different hues from this colour palette.

Must-have: fluid detailing.

Warm folklore

Here, we take a trip to Africa. The safari and military-inspired creations that reappear each season, in 2012, take inspiration from the continent’s backwoods. Ethnic-inspired prints abound. Colours are certainly warm, making way for earthy shades, often presented in blocks.

Hawaiian dream

Still under a blazing sun, we now travel over to the Pacific. Here, we celebrate the return of the Hawaiian print (yes, you read that right!). Hence, spring lines our closet with floral prints, showcasing the hibiscus flower and the bird of paradise. Hummingbirds sing and, under the palm trees, we’re bewitched by this colourful wave.

Must-have: the floral print.

Gypsy elegance

The 2012 bohemian look hasn’t lost any of its power of seduction. Hence, we play with its prints in order to charm. Showcasing paisley, we also wear embroidery, openwork lace and striking metallic embellishments. We even boast a penchant for the seventies hippie look.
