Brush on some sun!
While those who take their skin care to heart may only opt for their trusted sunscreen protection, we must admit that we often long for some added glow, as well. It’s simply a matter of putting some tint in our beauty routine, so check out our bronzing powder suggestions of the season, as well as application tips.
New kids on the block
Those of us with milky complexions will likely opt for a bronzer with an iridescent finish, in shades of beige, pinkish-gold or caramel. For those of us with a darker complexion and skin that tans easily, your best bet is tones of copper, coffee-brown or red.
1. Guerlain Terracotta Terra Soleia Tan-Enhancing Bronzer, $66 at Guerlain counters.
2. Marcelle Face & Décolleté Luminous Pyramid, $16.95 in pharmacies.
3. Clinique Superbalanced Powder Bronzer, $42 at Clinique counters.
Bronzing powders should be used as a finishing touch. After cleansing and moisturizing your skin, hide minor imperfections with a concealer and/or foundation. Remove excess moisture using a cotton pad before applying bronzer on your cheeks, temples, chin and forehead (right by the hairline). And your weapon of choice: a large brush!
