A how-to guide on this seasonal favourite
If you’re like us, you simply can’t pass up the chance to acquire a new scarf whenever the opportunity arises. These pieces of fabric of all colours and prints effortlessly brighten up any outfit, a quality that saves our attire, especially on mornings when we’re pressed for time. Below, we offer up a few tips to help you reveal the many facets of your scarves’ personalities!

The Bardot
A scarf used as a hairband is a quintessential sixties look. Simply get a rectangular-shaped scarf of small width, but that is long enough. To prevent topstitching from showing, fold the scarf along the width outside in. Place the band created at the top of your forehead, so as to cover your hairline. Tie the scarf underneath your hair, and bring the ends back over your shoulders. It goes without saying that it’s only befitting to follow with the doe-eyed look!

Down the back
You probably did not expect that, by choosing a maxi-scarf, you would also be getting a brand new top! How? Simple: first tie two of the scarf’s ends at the nape. To get a different look, twist the ends of the piece of fabric before tying the knot. Do the same with the inferior corners before tying them behind your back, right at the waist. The result: a beautiful bare back, perfect for hot summer days.

Like a necklace
Is your favourite scarf is of medium size, and made of a light fabric? If so,  wear it around your neck in a daring fashion. Make a single knot at regular intervals along the scarf, as to shorten it to your liking. Then, you’ll only have to tie the thin strip you’ve created behind your neck. For a wow-worthy look, add your favourite brooch.

Scarf or handbag?
When temperatures rise come the afternoon, you’ll likely tie the scarf you wore in the morning to your bag. But did you know that you can easily turn it into a handbag? Make a single overhand knot approximately 10 centimeters in on all four corners of a square-shaped scarf. Then tie the opposite ends in pairs. You are now equipped with a DIY purse!

I've been wearing scarves for years but this is the first time I've seen as a "purse" - great idea for when I've overshopped at the farmer's market !
