The hottest must-haves of the season

While our fave beauty brands are getting ready to unveil their new finds next season, we’re waiting with bated breath. Be prepared, ladies: this coming season’s makeup offerings are solid! Check out what’s ready for the picking within the fall harvest.

Light addiction

According to Maybelline New York, 60% of women in North America and Europe turn up their noses at foundation. Not surprising, then, that the bevy of BB creams out there are only lightly-tinted, and offer a thousand and one benefits. We particularly got hooked on this newbie recently: this water-based formula camouflages imperfections, all the while moisturizing, smoothing out, and protecting our skin (with SPF 30). It also has a light texture that leaves our skin fresh and velvety.

Rosy cheeks

A new and fresh find for our cheekbones. At our disposal, we have total colour, or the option to go for a more subtle look. But we like them best when paired together! We apply the hue at the bottom of the compact near the contours of the face, emphasizing our cheekbones—forming a ‘w’ from forehead to chin, on both sides of our face. Then, we highlight with the blush—placed at the top of the compact—by defining our cheeks.

Subtle brilliance

Two shades of beige take turns in a brilliant way to compose this beautifying compact. The perfect sidekick for your bronzer, it extends your summer tan well into fall. Upon application, hints of gold are revealed, blending in with your skin tone. The result: a perfectly illuminated complexion, leaving you looking elegant under the night lights.

Eyelids of lust

We unearthed this gorgeous quartet for fall but, of course, we just couldn’t wait until the mercury dropped to test these hues out! Shades of beige and pink act as the perfect base. Then, we accentuate with spikes of green and brown, depending on the look we’re going for. Don’t hold back on your creative impulses: the pigments appear translucent at first, but gain in opaqueness the more you layer.

Crayon kisses

Decidedly, moisturizing lip balms in fat pencil format are all the rage nowadays. Meet this newbie, available in a total of 12 shades, ranging from neutral to highly-tinted. As for staying-power, it promises up to three hours of beautifully coloured lips, no dryness. And we saved the best for last: it also boasts a yummy peppermint taste upon application. Just an extra little treat!
