    Low-Fat Yogurt Challenge

Yogurt makes for a popular dessert or snack due to its delicious taste and the fact that it is a healthy choice. It may be difficult at times to choose the right brand in regards to nutritional value as well as taste. We at divine.ca sampled various low-fat, vanilla-flavoured yogurts on the market and have chosen our five favourites!

    Astro BioBest Stirred Yogurt

It has a creamy, delicious taste as well as a smooth texture. Granted, it has slightly more calories than other low-fat yogurts because it contains no artificial sugars, but we’d take those extra calories over a low-calorie, tasteless yogurt any day! It also contains probiotics (a beneficial bacteria for your digestive system), which is a rarity in low-fat yogurts.

Nutritional Information (per 100 g serving)
    Calories: 70
    Carbohydrates: 14 g
    Fat: 0.75 g
    Protein: 2.5 g

     Fat-Free Activia from Danone

For a low-fat yogurt, its texture is surprisingly creamy. It contains no edulcorates (artificial sugars), and no aspartame, which is why the yogurt tastes so natural. It also has probiotics and a lot of protein, which makes it a top choice.

Nutritional Information (per 100 g serving)
    Calories: 80
    Carbohydrates: 16 g
    Fat: 0.4 g
    Protein: 5 g

    Yoplait Source

Source is low-fat and without aspartame, but contains edulcorates. It wasn’t as creamy as we had hoped, but it still tasted good. Health-wise, it contains eight vitamins and minerals and is a good source of protein, as well as a low amount of carbohydrates.

Nutritional Information (per 100 g serving)
    Calories: 35
    Carbohydrates: 5 g
    Fat: 0 g
    Protein: 4 g

I would buy the Activia. It's all natural with no fake sugars and a fair amount of protein.
