Nescafé Dolce Gusto system

I've been using the Nescafe Dolce Gusto for several weeks now. When I first received the Dolce Gusto machine I was so excited to try it out. We have a Tassimo machine at work which I use daily and so I assumed the Gusto would be exacty the same. It is not the same. So, after cleaning the machine I inserted a coffee pod as I couldn't wait to have my yummy coffee. Well, I turned on the machine and boy oh boy it was LOUD! I actually thought it was broken so I turned it off and got out the manual to search the troubleshooting section; there was nothing in the manual indicating the noise level of the machine so I removed the pod and made some instant coffee instead (Nescafe of course). The next day I decided to try it out again. I insert my coffee pod and turn it on. Now, I'm thinking the pods are the same as the Tassimo machine we have at work where the machine reads a bar-code so it knows how much water to use and automatically stops when it reaches that limit. So, I let our puppy outside only to return to a flooded kitchen! These Gusto machines do not automatically stop brewing so I ended up with coffee all over the floor, counter and all over our new dishwasher, it was quite the mess to pick up. So, that being said these two issues (loud/vibrating noise the machine makes and no pod reading) would be the only negatives about the machine. Once I realized the Gusto is not a Tassimo I got used to it. I have been using it every morning to make my Americano coffee and I am quite happy to have it now as it is so quick and fast. I no longer have to wait 10 minutes for my kettle to heat up or our perk to brew coffee...the Gusto makes my coffee in less than a minute! The pods are available at department stores like Walmart and certain grocery stores and are about the same price as pods for other machines. The coffees are very tasty. Unfortunately, since it's almost winter here I never got to try out the cold beverages so I cannot comment on that side but the hot beverages are good.

There were a few things that I really like about this machine. It is very simple to use, fill with water, insert coffee pod and that's about all! The water gets hot very fast, so in under a minute you can a latte or cappuccino. It is also very easy to clean, relatively no mess. The one thing that I did not like was the measurements. To make a cappuccino for example, it says to do 40 ml of the coffee and then 200 ml with the milk pod. The problem is, unless you use a measuring cup, you are guessing. So you either make it too weak, or too strong or by luck just right. When making any of the coffee's, it says a suggested amount of water by ml... again, I don't use a measuring cup to make my coffee. The more you make them (if you use the same cup) you figure out how to eyeball it for your specific taste. I think this machine is a great addittion, but definetly does not replace a standard coffee pot.

The first thing you notice about this machine is it's sleek looks. It's design is modern and it's looks great on a counter top. It's not large and bulky as some other machines out there. The only problem I had with this machine was with the instruction booklet, and that really might have been just me. They have all only pictures and no words at all. My first cup I misunderstood and didn't turn the lever back once my cup was full, and you have to do that or it overflows. Also with the instructions how to make the "fancier" coffees, like cappuccino, I was a bit confused at first. It shows 2 capsules and mentions milk, but you don't realize that some of the capsules in the box have white bases (which is milk). Once you take everything out and play around a bit though, it all becomes clear, and is really easy to use. It's holds a good amount of water, so you do not need to re-fill after every use. The quality of the drinks is excellent for a home system, and I'd say as good as most of the shops out there. I like that a lot of the beverages are also available in skinny. The selection is quite good overall. You'll still need to go out for those seasonal drinks (pumpkin spice, eggnog, ect...) But they have all the most common ones, and they are reasonably priced. I also love that you can make cold drinks with it as well, which I prefer in the afternoons. It offers a lot of options for all coffee lovers.

Waking up and having a freshed brewed americano in 30 seconds has made my last 3 weeks wonderful. It is a slim machine compared to others so it doesnt take up much room on your counter. The pods were 6.00 on sale for a 2 weeks supply, not bad for a great cup of coffee. There are 6 different flavors to choose from that I could find. There is no tea pods for this machine and I couldnt find the iced coffee at the store. There wasnt a mocha flavor do I used a coffee pod with a hot chocolate and had a vente mocha. I would recommed this machine to anyone looking for a single serve coffee machine, its affordable and easy to use. The only down side is the lack of variety.

First off can I say how amazing this site is for giving some of us a chance to try amazing new things! My boyfriend and I simply love this coffee maker! It has cut his morning prep time way down, so now we can sleep in a little bit longer. Every time we have friends over (tends to be a lot) we always drag them into the kitchen and make them coffee. Everyone is always amazed at just how fast and easy it really is. I feel the best compliment I've gotten so far was "I don't normally even like coffee, but I'd drink this every day." Plus! When summer rolls back around it makes cold drinks as well! It really is an all around amazing machine. I would recommend it to anyone and trust me I have been. Thanks so much divine.ca and Nescafe!

I love this machine! There are so many great things about it - it's easily portable so I don't have to make counter space for it, it stays cool so I don't have to leave it out to cool off after use, it looks sleek and stylish, it's ridiculously fast, and the best part: it makes really yummy coffee. My husband was hesitant, but after trying the Caffe Americano he exclaimed, "This is the best coffee I've ever had!" I'm in love with all of the different varieties. The only downside for me is the expense of the pods - reasonable for one specialty drink a day, or for something special for a party. Too expensive for everyday coffee consumption, since we go through 6-10 cups a day between two people. I would love to see more flavors available - maybe a chai latte, vanilla or hazelnut flavors, and seasonal drinks like Gingerbread Lattes or Pumpkin Spice. Overall, this is a great addition to our supply of coffee accessories and I will continue to use and enjoy it. Thank you so much for the opportunity to try it out. I would never have purchased something like this on my own (without strong recommendations from friends and family), and now I can share my experience with them and urge them to pick one up. Highly recommended!

I was thrilled when I discovered the Nescafe Dolce Gusto had arrived in the mail! I tore right into the container to get it all set up but came to a stand still when I tried to go over the instructions. I am a visual person, but the instructions were all pictures... no text! I was stumped! I ended up calling Nescafe's customer service line and the lovely woman walked me through the entire process... it really is sooooo SIMPLE to use!! I am glad that I called as I wanted to ensure that I did it all correctly so that I could review it properly. The pods are convenient to use and the machine is very straight forward. My husband and I went through a lot of coffee that day!! Very tasty drinks is certainly a plus... but the convenience and speed of use is what really grabs my interest. In less than a minute you have a tasty, hot beverage in your hand. It is so simple to use that my seven year old is always at my side, asking if she can make my coffee for me. Clean up is easy also. The machine is slender, so it doesn't take up much space on the counter at all! We recently had friends over and they were all so impressed with the Nescafe Dolce Gusto and that they could all have a different drink in no time at all! The two things that were on my list of not great were the instructions... and the price ($9.50/8 coffees - 8 milk and 8 coffee for cappuccinos). All in all... I loved it and am so grateful to have been chosen to review the Nescafe Dolce Gusto!!

Absolutely love the design and look of this machine! It looks stunning in my kitchen and is a great conversation piece. I have the Titanium color. I have tried out other single serve coffee machines at friend's houses etc and I must say, I do really enjoy the fact that the Dolce Gusto can do both hot and cold, as well as the layered feel to the drinks. Absolutely LOVE the peach iced tea. Love the convenience of being able to quickly and easily have one cup of very delicious fresh coffee. The only criticism I have is that I live in the maritimes so I find that there isn't much stock at my local grocery story to buy the capsules. However, I will follow that by saying that I have ordered them online from Nescafe and they arrived prompty within days and was an easy process! Love it, have served the beverages to many friends, they love it and I will continue to use this machine and capsules!

After receiving my Dolce Gusto machine and taking it out of the box I was blown away by how great it looks (even lighting up where the cup goes) and how it added to the look of my kitchen instead of being an eyesore like many of the big bulky single serve machine I have owned and seen in the past. Once I had set it up (which took only a few minutes and was very simple) I followed the easy guide and prepared a wonderful tasting Chococinno yummy ! this machine is super simple to use and the way it works lets you make your drinks exactly how you want them unlike the other single serves machines I have tried in the pass. I was also very happy with the speed of this machine the water heats up almost instantly intially and between capsules. The Dolce Gusto is also great because it makes both hot and cold drinks although I had a hard time finding the cold drink flavors near where I live I did find some eventually and tried the Iced Cap variety which also tasted great. I can't help thinking that this machine would pay for it self in no time with all the different kinds of drinks it makes. I also like that it uses Nescafe coffee because I found it was a way superior product then other single serve coffee machines I have tried. After trying this great machine I plan on buying several for Xmas presents this year and I am sure everyone will love them as much as I did!

I love being able to have a single cup of coffee that's fast, tasty and gives me so many options as to what type I can make. It's a slick looking machine that looks right at home on my countertop. I love that it comes with steamed milk containers - this is an incredibly useful feature of the machine and one I utilized often. This is the best-tasting single-serve coffee I've had, perfect for a pick-me-up... but it's not strong enough for me. Also, I worry about the wastefulness of the coffee packaging. It would have been useful to get info on pricing for the machine and for the individual packs of coffee. This is a GREAT secondary coffee maker but I won't be getting rid of my grind and brew for it (we heavily use our main coffee maker on weekends and during the week in the a.m.). Again, as I mentioned, it's great for that cup or two I like to have during the day when I don't want to brew an entire pot just for me. Nicely done, Nescafe.
