Nescafé Dolce Gusto system

What a great product that will surely please everyone regardless of their favourite beverage. The machine is sleek and design forward. Definitely not an eyesore sitting on my kitchen counter. My favourite drinks were the chococino and the latte macchiato. The chococinno is great when you don't want something with cafeine, the hot chocolate is great without it being sickly sweet. The latte macchiato is one of those drinks that you have when you want something out of the ordinary. I enjoyed that the drinks were not scolding hot and could be sipped on right away. It did take some getting use to finding the perfect brew for one's taste but I still see that as a positive because you can cater it to everyone's taste. The one thing that I did not like is that the individual cups seemed like a lot of waste to be disposing of as some drinks require 2 cups, however, I guess there's no way in changing that process.

I love nescafe coffee so this machine was a dream. I had a wide variety of beverage options including cold versions!!! It was easy to use, I could control the amount so you can still use your favourite mug. I love that most of the pieces that get dirty can be run through the dish washer. It did say that you can't descale using vinegar which I found odd. They didn't explain why. It is a bigger machine, but the cool look of it makes it appealing. The titanium color fits well into my stainless/black appliances. It is quick to use in the morning but depending on the size of your cup you can't just run it and walk away. At least in never felt comfortable doing in it. Having two little kids it is nice not having to pack the kids into the car to get a "Treat for Mommy" when I have a variety of options in my cupboard. Not to mention the savings.

I made the Americano and Cappucino for my family. I found the portions to be quite small and the beverage only medium temperature. I would have liked a hotter cup of coffee and a larger portion. However, the taste was delicious! I would have to say that the Americano was very comparable in taste to Starbucks' Americano - which means a lot coming from me, a Starbucks junkie! We have yet to try the cold beverages, but we plan on serving them this coming weekend when we have a lunch party. My husband and I bought more boxes of the pods at Sobeys last Sunday since we had run out of the trial boxes...we really enjoy Nescafe's newe Dolce Gusto!!! I love the simplicity of this product and how easy it is to brew a fantastic cup of coffee (even if it is on the small, not-quite-hot-enough side!).The variety of flavours is above average - there is one to suit each member of my family. The design is funky and modern, yet I find it a bit too big for my countertop. Thanks you for allowing me to experience this wonderful product! There have been a few unhappy things that have happened during this time for me, so haven't had the chance to submit a review until now. I must say that the Nescafe Dolce Gusto system has been ultra convenient in brewing coffee - a cup of coffee literally appears in front of your eyes within seconds and the temperature is perfect. Brewing coffee has never been so easy. The coffee comes out flavorful and satisfies my need for coffee. The sleek and "futuristic" design is definitely an added bonus, which would liven up any kitchen. Being the winner of the International Forum Design award is absolutely well deserved! There are only a few downsides to this coffee machine. While rinsing the machine before the first use, water does not drip down in a straight line into the capsule bin, but tends to drip backwards and onto the water tank which results in a puddle of water under the capsule bin and water tank. The system would have been even better if there is an automatic timer which stops once the coffee finishes brewing. But I also understand that without having a timer, it also allows the user to have complete control over the way they want their coffee. Since there is no automatic timer, it would have been great if the water tank had a measurement scale along the sides so that users can estimate the amount of water to use for each capsule (especially the drinks which require 2 capsules like cappuccino and chococino). With the sleek design of this system, one would imagine that this brewer would be on the quiet side - not so much though. I found this coffee machine a little over the noisy side, but it is still bearable when compared to some of the other single-serve coffee machines out in the market. In summary, this is definitely a coffee maker that I would recommend to everybody that I know. The cons are not a big deal and can be overlooked since the pros do outweigh the cons in my opinion. Obtaining a cup of coffee has never been this simple. All I have to say is that this has made my life much easier as I use this system on a daily basis! Nescafé Dolce Gusto is a fantastic coffee machine. The machine is very easy to use and maintain. The coffee has wonderful flavour and it is ready in seconds. The machine is very sleek and takes up no more counter space than a traditional brew by the pot coffee maker would! Unlike with some machines which auto fill your cup - this allows you to adjust to suit your individual taste. I was able to find the single serve capsules at shops locally - but they can be ordered online as well. I found it is easier to use with clear coffee cups/mugs - and you can adjust the height of the tray that holds your cup to accommodate various cup heights. I quickly fell in love with Nescafé Dolce Gusto!

When the the Nescafe Dolce Gusto arrived I felt like I had won the lottery! First of all, I'm not someone who generally likes to keep appliances out on my kitchen counter, but the sleek design and titanium color look great in my kitchen! I am passionate about my coffee. I love a great cup of coffee and it is one of the few luxuries I allow myself. As a busy mom, grinding beans and brewing a pot of coffee in the morning was just one more thing to add to the a.m. chaos in my house. The first cup was always great but by the time I'd get around to my second cup, the brewed coffee was cold and needed reheating which just isn't the same. With the Nescafe Dolce Gusto, every cup is the perfect "first cup" and I really enjoy the new ritual of making my morning cup of joe with this coffee machine! The Nescafe Dolce Gusto comes with directions (complete with pictures) that guide you through making any of their different blends of coffee. Using this machine really is a "no-brainer". In our house, the Americano is the usual but I also love the Cappuccino for a special treat. The trial packs included with the coffee machine were great in helping me narrow down which style of coffee was right for us. The coffee pod refills are available at Superstore and Safeway and I actually found them on sale last week at Safeway for $8.15 for a pack of 16 Americano or an 8 pack of Cappuccino. Regularly priced at $8.99, I stocked up! At first that seemed a little pricey to me. But after figuring it out, I am still coming out ahead because during a usual week I would normally stop off at Starbucks or Tim Hortons at least 3 times while running errands in addition to the regular coffee I would brew at home. Not to mention that I really do prefer the taste of the Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee! So, if you love treating yourself to a delicious cup of coffee right at home I would highly recommend the Nescafe Dolce Gusto. Not many products deliver exactly what they advertise but the Nescafe Dolce Gusto keeps it's promise of "coffehouse-style coffee, made right at home".

The Krups Dolce Gusto coffee maker is a great single serve coffee maker. I like the ability to make a full range of hot beverages. It heats quickly, you probably need 1 minute for served beverage. Very easy to use (insertion of the capsules and solid controls.) I can easy control the cold/hot water. I really love all of the hot beverages this machine produces. One problem I found is the water has to be stop manualy. If you forget you will have it all over the counter :)

The machine was easy to use and makes great beverages. It is wonderful to be able to make a single cup of specialty coffee for a fraction of the cost of going out! The machine has a beautiful design which would compliment any decor, and there is a wonderful selection of beverage flavours to choose from. I would highly recommend the Nescafe Dolce Gusto system.

First impression, we loved the look of it. I like that it has a light under where you put your cup and that the height of the cup is adjustable. I didn't like that I had to turn off the water myself. An auto turn off would be better, so I could get other things done around the kitchen while it is running. The flavours of the products were yummy although I wish there were a larger selection. The ease of cleaning the plastic parts was a great feature and we liked that everyone could have a different drink without having to clean between. Since my husband and I really like different drinks. This will become a highly used feature in our kitchen and I might even have to get one to use at work. Thanks for the opportunity.

I have recently decided to stay home with my kids and not work outside the home but I also dreaded giving up my treat coffees. I was really excited when I opened the box and reading the instructions, it meant that I could have my treat coffees at home for a fraction of the cost. The unit wasn't too big that I lost a lot of space on my counter. The instructions were easy and the setup was simple, which I need. I liked that there were milk in packets as well. The machine was easy to use, packets for me were great since I am the only one that drinks coffee and i don't have to make a pot to enjoy a cup. I really enjoyed the different flavours as well, the latte macchiato was my favourite. The only thing I didn't like was the water system, it recommended preheating the water and you had to measure it out as well. If there was a way to have that automatically done this would be the PERFECT machine. Thanks for letting me try dolce gusto. Melanie
