The Greek style yogurt by Liberte is creamy and thick like 14% sour cream and has texture that lingers through your mouth and down your tongue. The thickness is beautiful from the moment you open the lid and peel back the cover; one can't help but to lick the cover clean before dipping a spoon into the container.
As a kid I loved fruit bottom yogurts so the fruit bottomed Liberte Greek yogurt is nostalgic. I also really like the fact that I can mix the as much or as little fruit into the plain yogurt as I want -- I get creative control.
Because of the manufacturing process Liberte's Greek style yogurt, especially their plain yogurt, is plain and simple. You can't go wrong with milk and bacterial cultures!
The great thing about this yogurt is its versatility. I make fruit smoothies in the morning and always use yogurt. I love the large amount of protein Liberte's Greek yogurt provides, as someone who is into exercise and also health conscious. Adding Liberte Greek yogurt to fruit smoothies turns an everyday smoothie into a creamy dessert that fills you up and keeps you going throughout the morning. Greek yogurt seemingly fills an empty stomach more efficiently than regular yogurt. What better way to start your day?
When using Liberte's Greek style yogurt, the possibilities are almost endless. I use the plain yogurt while eating a homemade spicy Indian dish, complete with samosas. You can also make tasty fruit and veggie dips, flavoured to your taste. The thick creaminess of the yogurt makes great dip, especially a triple onion veggie dip. To be creative, you can puree cottage cheese and fold it into Liberte's Greek style plain yogurt. Add honey to taste. Crush up meringue nests and toss into yogurt. Cut up fresh fruit and add to meringue and yogurt. Top dessert with icing sugar (and a drizzle of chocolate -- optional) and serve immediately. Whatever you use it with, it's going to be tasty when using Liberte.
I tried 3 varieties: Wild Blueberry, Strawberry and Honey. All 3 varieties were rich and creamy, which was a nice surprise considering they are all 0% fat. You honestly won't miss the fat, or even notice that it's missing. The Wild Blueberry and Strawberry varieties had a really fresh fruit taste, with a generous amount of fruit preparation on the bottom of each tub. I prefer fruit-on-the-bottom yogourt, so was happy to see this. I liked the Honey variety (had a nice amount of sweetness) but perhaps a bit less than the fruit flavours. That being said, I would definitely use the Honey variety in a smoothie, where I might want to add some sweetness, but not overdo it. This yogourt is very high in protein compared to non-Greek yogourt, which is an added bonus. In terms of cooking potential, I could definitely see the Plain variety being used in savory dishes to replace some higher-fat dairy ingredients, such as cream or butter. In fact, I threw caution to the wind and added the Honey variety to an Indian dish (a "mock" butter chicken recipe), using it in place of cream, and the dish was superb!
I was really impressed by the Liberte Greek yogurt I was sampling. I don't normally purchase it because it is a few dollars more than my usual brand. It will be the only brand I buy from now on. I love the taste, how tart the plain yogurt is on the top and how sweet the bottom fruit or honey is. As a vegetarian, I need to find sources of protein in everything I eat. I love the amount of protein in this product as well as the smaller amounts of sugar. It doesn't need to rely on all sorts of sweetening for its delicious taste. I wouldn't hesitate to use this product in smoothies, as a low-fat salad dressing option and also as a topper for pie and cakes. It really was a treat to sample this yogurt, my friend and I have been raving about it for days. She really felt full after eating it and told me that she will be purchasing it again as well. My daughter and I both loved the strawberry kind the best!
I have no video as I have no camera, but if I had you would see me enjoying every fork full!! Actually I adore Liberte Yogourt and the Greek is the "icing on the cake". It has the flavour and near consistency of ice cream, rich and delicious. The abundance of fruit was amazing, as I thought I had stirred it all in and when I reached the bottom I could not believe the remain fruit. I really enjoyed the honey and blueberry, but the strawberry was my fav. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to eat this excellent product.
LOVE THIS YOGURT - THREE WORDS: RICH, DELICIOUS, AND FRESH!!
This yogurt honestly tastes like a fruit pudding, I'm not a fan of the bitterness of yogurt, but you can't taste that with this product. It is very rich and creamy, mm!! So thankful to have tried this product, I absolutely love the Mocha flavour. After finishing my tub, i went out and bought a new one the next week - clearly, I am hooked.. and what i love best is the nutritious value to this snack! Hopefully you all get a chance to try it out, WORTH THE EXTRA BUCK OR TWO... seriously!
I very much enjoyed the Liberte yogurt.
I tried the plain, strawberry and blueberry.
I enjoyed the plain the most because I usually add my own fresh fruit and granola to my yogurt. The plain yogurt didn't leave a funny after taste like many other yogurts do.
Compared to my ussual brand, the Liberte 0% Greek was more nutritional.
The yogurt was so thick that in my review video, I ate it with a fork.
I can only say good things about this yogurt and I enjoyed it so much that this will be my new first choice when I shop for yogurt..
I really loved this yogurt. This was the first time I had tried Greek yogurt and I really loved the texture and the creaminess of it. The flavour of the fruit was very strong and flavourful. It was evident that when I began to stir the yogurt, there was a lot of fruit on the bottom. The fruit tasted fresh and natural. I loved that the yogurt is high in protein and that it would work well in recipies. I would make many smoothies with this yogurt and my 2 year old son would LOVE it!
First off I would like to say a big thanks to Divine and to Liberte for sending me three coupons for this wonderful and yummy yogourt this was truly a tasty experience.
I decided to try
the plain ,the mango and orange and the fig and date.
the plain one is very strong and I don't think I would personally buy it unless I was baking or using it as a soup base but it is very tangy and thick!
The Orange and Mango one was personally my favourite one as it was sweet and tangy and was truly like a nice dessert yummm yummm yummm!!
The Fig and Date one was really tasty full of flavour and even little bits of Figs and Dates in there. This is something I could see myself eating and serving on a hot summer day outside.
I must say that I loved the product and I will continue to purchase but only when on sale because it is a bit on the pricey side.
I loved this product. I'm a big fan of yogurt as its the main way I get my protein and dairy in my diet. I loved all the flavours I sampled (wild blueberry, honey and vanilla) as they were all full of flavour but not overwhelmingly so, and thus I could mix my fruit or my granola into them! Love that they are high in protein, taste great and are good for you! Definitely a hit in my household.
