Have a movie night.If you’re planning an evening of watching a movie or two in front of the television, give it a glam upgrade! Have your friends come dressed fit for a red carpet—in fact, buy some cheap red fabric and create a custom carpet leading from the front door to the living room! Break out the drinks and serve up tasty hors d’oeuvres; this will be one movie night the girls won’t soon forget!
 

Create an at-home spa. You and the girls are looking for some down-time together, so re-create the ultimate oasis in your own home. Have your guests bring their own flip-flops or slippers, and remind them to wear the comfiest clothes they own. (Or to truly mimic the spa experience, a bathrobe!) Have a pitcher of cucumber water on-hand—it’s refreshing and boasts antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, as well as treats like fresh strawberries. Designate different areas of your space to different activities, such as mani-pedis and facials, and even have your bathroom available for whomever wants to give their bodies a decadent scrub or to treat their mane to a homemade hair mask.
 

Organize a clothing swap. You’re likely itching to get your hands on a new outfit, but refrain due to your tight budget. One great way to score something new is by getting the girls together and exchanging clothes with one another. Have a space for everyone to try various items (such as in your bedroom or the bathroom) and be sure to have a full-length mirror handy. After everyone acquired a few new pieces, be sure to have snacks and drinks available to celebrate!
 

Hold a craft day. Scrapbooking, knitting, jewelry making… Every one of us has a hobby, but often lack the time to do it. If you already have a girls’ night in planned, why not get everyone to bring along the accessories of their craft of choice? Sit everyone around the dining room table with some drinks and yummy treats, and everyone can devote a few hours to their hobby and laughs between good friends!
