Everyone loves an ice pop on a hot day. They’re easy to make with your favourite fruit, juices and other beverages. They don't have to be too crazy or overly-fancy: just simple, basic recipes. You can even make them super healthy by juicing your own fruit juices, and adding a squeeze of various other fruit juices or yogurt to the mix for unique flavor combinations. You can even make your favourite hot drink choices into ice pops to beat the heat!

Juice pops
Use your fave fruit juice flavours to make healthy ice pops that aren’t loaded with unnecessary artificial ingredients. For special effects and added texture, chop up some fruit to add to the ice pop moulds and when they freeze, the first bite will have the fruit chunks for you to bite into. For seasonal flair, add fresh peach chunks to peach juice, and white or red grape slices to white grape juice. For a visual contrast try different combos, like adding strawberry slices to white cranberry juice.

For a grown-up take on a juice pop, try taking a ‘hard’ apple cider like Somersby Apple Cider and freezing it with cranberry cocktail. Instead of wooden sticks, use cinnamon sticks as a tasty alternative. Just make sure that they don’t get mixed up with the ice pops for the kids!

Ice tea pops
Make your favourite ice tea from scratch and sweeten to taste with sugar, honey or sugar replacements. Cool and add lemon for classic ice tea flavor. Pour into ice pop moulds and place sticks. For refreshing flavor, make minted green tea or other fruit-based herbal teas, sweetening to taste and chilling before making it into ice pops.

Cappuccino and espresso pops
Who needs a hot coffee for a summer boost? Use cooled off cappuccino, espresso or regular coffee to put in the ice pop mould with your preferred sweetening agent. This is the time to use flavoured coffees, too! For extra flavor and texture, add some chocolate shavings; they’ll melt in your mouth while you’re enjoying your homemade treat! Instead of milk, you can add vanilla ice cream to espresso or coffee to give your coffee pop a creamier feel.

Yogurt fruit pops
Healthy refreshment is just a ‘blend’ away. Slice or chunk up a little fresh fruit and add to the blender with one cup of plain or flavoured yogurt for a delish frozen treat, minus the guilt! Create your own exotic ice pops with unique creamier fruits like ripe papaya, mango and even dragon fruit. Then, just spoon into the moulds before freezing.
