Summer is here in all its glory: sunny days, wearing sandals, poolside reading, eating outdoors—there is a lot to love about the warm season. But of course, sometimes it can get a little, er, too hot. Check out some suggestions for keeping cool in the summer heat.
Drink cold H20 on the go. Keep a few bottles of water in your freezer. This way, when you’re on the go, the ice will start melting, keeping your water cooler for longer as the day goes on.
Keep your moisturizer fresh. Switch to a gel texture for your daily moisturizer, and consider keeping it in the fridge: it’ll give you a nice, refreshing feeling when you apply it. This tip is also good for eye cream; plus, it’ll help reduce puffiness.
Make a faux air-conditioner. Fill a metal bowl with some ice cubes and place it in front of a fan. Simple yet effective!
Carry a paper fan. Not only are paper fans lightweight, compact, and very effective during the summer months, but they can also be very stylish! Never been to Asia? Just drop by your nearest China Town, and you shouldn’t have any problems finding a nice variety of fans to choose from.
Enjoy frozen snacks. Ever think of freezing your fruit when it’s hot? Grapes turn into mini sorbet-like delights when frozen, and bananas are also yummy. Another idea: poke a wooden ice pop stick through the top of an individual portion of yogurt and put it in the freezer to create frozen yogurt pops. Cold and delicious!
