How to Enter Blog Contests

Some contesters hate blog contests ~ And some contesters Love them.

But because so many Serious Contesters dislike them ~ There is great opportunity to win them. Another reason why its easy to win, is they aren't as well advertised as stream line brand name contests are.

Lots of blog contests don't have that great prizes ~ It might be sample packs ~ Some times the value of the prize is only $25.0o, and many sweepers just can't be bothered with wasting time on them.

Blog Contests ( majority) have become easier to enter with Rafflecopter.

rafflecopter 300x355 How to Enter Blog Contests

It's Now Really easy to enter a good chunk of blog contests when a blogger has this implemented on their blog.

Usually the First page ~ You will need to Answer a Question of something to do with a Review in most cases. You simply click on enter and a screen where you type will appear.

Then in a lot of cases once you've done the first entry another screen will reappear and it will open up to several other alternatives that you can earn additional entries by doing following tasks.

Facebook Likes, Follow on Twitter ~ Tweet contests, are the average ones. Some will give you 5 additional entries and others just a single one.   But to make it easy everything is done for you or there will be a link you can click on if you need help with tweeting or how to imput your tweet from your account.

The more things you do, the more entries ~ hence more chances of winning.  You can then decide to do them all at once, or spread it out  over the course of the contest ~ or do the daily tweets ( if allowed)

If you want to get into blog Contesting ~ I highly recommend doing the daily tweets ( if contest allows) Most of the one's on our website have been winners of tweets  I'd say 60%  the winning entry was a tweet.

It's all done by Random Generators, So there is no favoritism etc. It's all done very randomly.

Still Used: But Considered Old Fashioned Way or Traditional

The old way of entering Blog contests:

Some what the same idea ~ Enter in a Comment.

And get additional Entries.

But for each entry You will need to do a comment.

So if a Blog Contest Says " 3 Extra entries for facebook like"

You will then to comment on that blog 3 Additional Times

There are many ways to search out Blog Contests

We have our own list of which Bloggers have submitted to us Blog Contests that Canadians can participate in

Also you can check on our Contest Message Board for Blog Contests

Another Great Place Where you can search blog Contests is on Contest Girl

Reading Contest Rules

Reading Contest Rules

There are rules for a Reason. It's up to you the person entering to read these rules.

Even if your on a forum, or perhaps a sweepstakes site, that gives you the basics for rules. Such as Daily entry, Quebec excluded, One per Household etc.

Lots of these sites may have an entering blunder. It happens to anyone ~ only Human

Read the fine lines of Prize Details
~ This happens all the time
~ For a Trip ~ There's lots of contests out there "Where you can win a Weekend vacation" but when you read the rules, it does not include transportation
~ Also in the rules it will say it's Canada wide.  So if you live in British Columbia and the weekend getaway is in Ontario
~ You need to ask yourself "Are you willing to pay for transportation. Especially if the prize is non transfer.

Another Example
~ Win a Trip outside the country for an event And it's this month for example
~ But you  don't have any holiday time left, and you know you can't afford to take time off with pay. Then you should simply skip this contest.

Age: What is the age that you must be when entering?

The majority of the contests are Age of Majority of the province.

  • Alberta 18
  • British Columbia 19
  • Manitoba 18
  • New Brunswick 19
  • Newfoundland and Labrador 19
  • North West Territories 19
  • Nova Scotia 19
  • Nunavut 19
  • Ontario 18
  • Prince Edward Island 18
  • Quebec 18
  • Saskatchewan 18
  • Yukon Territories 19

Whom in your house can enter?

Does the contest specify One per person or does it say "one per household" or does it not say either way?

If it's one per person, then you can try and convince your spouse to join you in to the contesting hobby you are trying to get into, and let them enter into the one's that allow "one per person".

How many times you can enter a contest.

Some contests are simply confusing on ways of entering. It may not be clear. Such as You can enter every pin, or perhaps for every UPC code. Or it may be a Total number of entries Like 45 . Another example is There is an entry, then a voting section. You can vote daily, but can only enter once.  You may gain Entries for referring friends as well.

Filling Out Contest Forms Online

Filling Out Contest Forms Online

Contesting takes up a lot of time, Especially if you wanting to get serious about it.

But there's lots of Programs that you can either purchase or get free trials on to help you on a daily basis ( Especially for all those "daily Contests)

Google  Tool Bar - Will remember your passwords and your name, address etc. It's very basic, but is 100% free to use all the time. If you already use Google Chrome, You will already have this feature built into your computer.

Robo Form  ~ Is The oldest and what most contesters use, I'm not saying it's the best, But I personally own a version.  It will save your passwords, Help you create new ones,  It will remember how you answered questions, surveys, etc.  It will make contesting much easier.

Lass Pass ~ Free to Download.  LastPass free version does not restrict the number of people  or sites you can use it on like the free RoboForm does.

UPC Machine  ~ Free to use. Keep it bookmarked for those times, when you need a upc code for a contest.

There are probably other programs similar to these one's out there, but these are the most talked about among  fellow contesters.

Always be Certain to Read the Rules of the Contest ~ as many contests do not allow you to use "form fillers".  They want you to manually type in the contest.

Some contests are simply designed Not to allow any form fillers, so these contests you will still need to manually.
