Hang on to your seat; you are in for a fast, adventurous ride! Quickly you are pulled into a parallel universe; however, when travelling back and forth you don’t know where you’ll end up … hence the map being tattooed onto the body.
What a fascinating story! It is Sci-Fi Fantasy told in a three part series; The Skin Map is the first in the series. I don’t want to give away anything but, I will say that ley lines (lines where two dimensions meet) allow for travel in the multi-layered universe … and so a hunt begins!
I found that the book presented quite the interesting concept: alternate realities. It gave me a reason to stop and think “what if?”
Stephen R. Lawhead’s book is written fairly well and is quite an exhilarating read. I am so happy to have had the opportunity to discover this author. I can’t wait for the second book in the series! I would definitely recommend this book since it is truly an adventure.
