| INGREDIENTS
15 ml/1tbsp gram flour(besan)
1/2 cup water
5 ml/1 tsp chilli powder
15 ml/1 tbsp ground coriander
5 ml/1 tsp ground cumin
5 ml/1 tsp mustard powder
5 ml/1 tsp ground turmeric
60 ml/4 tbsp vegetable oil
6-8 curry leaves
5 ml/1 tsp cumin seeds
1 cauliflower broken into florets
3/4 cup thick coconut milk
juice of 2 lemons
salt
lime slices to garnish
Mix the gram flour with a little water to make a smooth paste.Add the chilli, coriander, cumin, mustard, tumeric and salt.Add the remaining water and mix to blend the ingredients.
Heat the oil in a large pan,fry the curry leafs and the cumin seeds.Add the spice paste and simmer for 5 minutes. If the sauce is too thick add a little hot water.
Add the cauliflower and coconut milk.Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and cook until cauliflower is tender but crunchy.add the lemon juice, mix thoroughly and serve hot, garnished with lime slices.
Notes.I put in less lemon juice and this still had a very nice refreshing taste to it.This doesn't take long to cook, smells heavenly and will serve 4-6 hungry people.
Enjoy!
