Funny movie right from the start. The chemistry was really evident and they played the parts well. I even shed a tear o two in this one, but it wasn't a bad thing. Made me laugh all over the place!
Even hubby liked the movie so it couldn't be that bad.

I thought ut was ok and the hubster hated it. There was some sensitive parts throughout, but a solid story. It turned out better at the very end. I can't explain without giving it away but it just felt complete.

Thursday, July 15 2010 at 1:42 pm

Starring:

Jeanne Tripplehorn
Tim Allen
Sigorney Weaver
Ray Liotta

This movie had a great premise! Tim Allen played a guy who couldn't stop fantasizing killing everyone he meets. Thoguh I don't think it was exactly executed well enough.
I had a few laughs, but for the most part, it was another boring film.

This was one of those movies that when you see the previews, it looks amazing. Then you see the film and realize all the best parts are in the ad for it.
Funny in parts, slow in others. Mostly slow though.

Starring:

Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, David Spade, Kevin James, and Selma Hayek.

This movie was flat-out funny!! At times it was grossly funny, but it didn't stray from the hilarious nature that we expected from previews. It totally lived up to the hype!

I think this is one fo Sandler's best productions. He did a great job with this story, and the cast had great chemistry!

Marmaduke by fredamans
Monday, June 28 2010 at 12:03 pm

Starring: Owen Wilson, George Lopez, William H. Macy and Keifer Sutherland.

Who doesn't like hearing animals talk?! There is not much cuter. We all think it would be fun to actually know what they think, this movie makes a decent attempt at it.
A funny movie in spots, the kids will definitely enjoy this one.
It may be based on the comic strip, but it's very loosely based. The only real thing to connect the two is the dog, Marmaduke, the story itself is nothing like the comic.

This movie is a total chick flick. I know, 'cause the hubby kept rollin his eyes everytime he looked at it.

Thursday, April 22 2010 at 12:02 pm

Starring:

Tracy Morgan, Chris Rock, Luke Wilson, Martin Lawrence, Danny Glover

What a surprising movie! I though, based on all the big names that it would be a lot funnier than it was, but it was still mildly funny. Chris Rock played such a serious part, not what we are used to at all.
Right from the beginning you start chuckling though.
There is one really, super gross part, that has to do with poop. Yep ya heard!

*Lots of swearing, and some drug use.*

Well, I have to admit, I thought this movie would be funnier thn it was. It was actually kinda lame-o! The best parts of the movie are the ones you see in the commercial. The rest is pretty bland.

Not what I recommend but take your chances if you must. Don't say I didn't warn you.

What a great story! This look at motherhood and what we all have to go through, it was a complete hit if you ask me! This movie showed just how hard our job is, and what we really have to deal with.

A great movie that all mom's will thoroughly enjoy! The men, not so much. It is a chick flick!

This was directed by Garry Marshall, so you have to know it was funny and a great film! I think all of the women out here would love it and most of the men too! It's not such a mushy movie liek you would think since the title and subject matter.

Give it a try.

Ghosts of girlfriends past by fredamans
Wednesday, December 9 2009 at 1:26 pm

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0821640/

Starring:

Matthew McConnaughy
Jennifer Garner

Connor Mead (Matthew McConaughey) is a notorious photographer who has a bad boy reputation of loving beautiful women and dumping them when they fall in love with him. Beautiful models and celebrities flock to his studio to get their picture taken, usually in lingerie, and throw themselves at him. Conner is so overloaded with women that he has to breakup with three women at the same time during a conference call in front of his next prey. His brother Paul (Breckin Meyer) is about to get married, and Connor thinks he is making a terrible mistake. As an incorrigible bachelor, Connor loves his freedom more than ever settling down and loving only one woman. Connor tries to talk Paul out of getting married, and it looks like Connor is about to succeed. Then the night before the wedding, Connor is visited by three ghosts, who take him back to his past, present, and his lonely future. They try to discovery the point in time where Connors became this womanizing jerk. Maybe there is still time to change him into a sensitive, feeling, and caring person that he once was, and he may even find his true love.

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past -- the Mark S. Waters directed fusion of A Christmas Carol with a traditional romantic comedy -- stars Matthew McConaughey as Connor Mead, a famous photographer and confirmed womanizer. He takes a break from his playboy lifestyle to attend his brother's wedding, where he becomes reacquainted with Jenny Perotti (Jennifer Garner), the only girl who ever captured his heart. After Connor delivers a drunken speech at the rehearsal dinner where he says that love isn't real, he's met in the bathroom by the ghost of his Uncle Wayne (Michael Dogulas), a Hefner-esque horndog who taught Conner everything he knows about picking up chicks. Uncle Wayne informs Connor that, over the course of the evening, he'll be visited by three ghosts who will lead him through his romantic past, present, and future. Will Connor learn to get over himself and love the right woman, or will he remain an emotional Scrooge?

A really funny movie, even if he was a huge pig!

Super Capers by fredamans
Tuesday, December 8 2009 at 12:46 pm

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1161064/

4/5

A wannabe superhero joins a team of bumbling heroes-in-training on a time traveling mission to thwart an evil plot in this high-flying comedy featuring Clint Howard, Adam West, Tom Sizemore, and Doug Jones. Ed Gruberman (Justin Whalin) may not possess any actual super-powers, though his passion for fighting crime rivals that of even the greatest comic book do-gooders. When Ed becomes a member of The Super Capers, an oddball team of aspiring superheroes, it seems as if his dream of fighting crime for real is about to come true. Upon discovering evidence of an evil plot involving gold bullion, an alluring femme fatale, and a powerful criminal mastermind, Ed travels back in time to prevent a disaster the likes of which the world has never seen. [D-Man2010]

Though Justin Whalin may be best known for playing Jimmy Olsen on LOIS & CLARK, the actor gets to wear a cape in this superhero comedy. Ed Gruberman may just be an average guy, but he imagines himself to be a crime-fighting superhero, and that desire lands him in trouble with the law. Forced to enlist in a group of sub-par superheroes, Ed finally gets the chance to join the battle in good versus evil, but its not everything he had imagined. SUPER CAPERS also stars Michael Rooker, Jon Polito, HELLBOYs Doug Jones, and Adam West.

A must-see if you  are looking for a laugh and like sci-fi.

I gave the movie    4/5

I really thought this film would be not as good as it was. I'm not keen on movies about chauvenistic men, and Gerard plays one well, though I was in sticthes laughing throughout the whole thing.
You will be surprised by how good Katherine Heigl is in it too. At least I was. I am a fan of hers on Grey's Anatomy, but here she actually shines. With the great lines and role she was given, she should feel good about the film.

I highly recommend you watch, without the kiddies.
