Hubster said this movie was a remake of an old movie, he thought was French. I sure believe him since he knew most of what was happening throughout the movie.
It was a slower paced movie, but still very interesting. You really just never knew what would happen.

Funny movie right from the start. The chemistry was really evident and they played the parts well. I even shed a tear o two in this one, but it wasn't a bad thing. Made me laugh all over the place!
Even hubby liked the movie so it couldn't be that bad.

I thought ut was ok and the hubster hated it. There was some sensitive parts throughout, but a solid story. It turned out better at the very end. I can't explain without giving it away but it just felt complete.

Interesting beginning and quite humorous. Shows many different sides of accidents happening, all very enlightening in some way or another. The premise made for a great story, but could have been executed a little better.

It took a while to understand the setting and era, actually half of the movie was mildly confusing, but right at the end, the whole thing comes together beautifully. You then get the whole story, and it is a pretty good one at that.
There is foul language and violent scenes, so not for kids.
The closest thing I can compare it to, is a Black Mad Max beyond Thunderdome... waaaaaay beyond.

Okay, so here is another run of the mill down on your luck country cowboy singer movie. It's like watching the one about Johhny Cash & June Carter, except this movie is based on false events. How do you get into a movie like that? I couldn't figure it out.
It was bland. I, for the life of me, can't figure out why all the nominations for awards. I mean, Beau played a great part... and Maggie gets props for having to make out with an ewwy old guy... but really best picture? I think not!
I don't recommend you spend money to see it. It's not like it was The Blind Side. Now THAT was money worthy. Wait for this film to come out on video and save your hard earned cash.

This was a good movie overall.
The first half was a little confusing and bland, but halfway through it gets a little scary and the pace picks up. Once the story starts to unfold the movie gets a lot better. Then I have to say, I hate the ending. Stopped a little too abruptly for me and left me hanging.
If you are looking for a typical Sorcese movie, keep looking.... this is unlike anything he has done.
There is also graphic content, so do not view with children.

What a great story! This look at motherhood and what we all have to go through, it was a complete hit if you ask me! This movie showed just how hard our job is, and what we really have to deal with.
A great movie that all mom's will thoroughly enjoy! The men, not so much. It is a chick flick!

This was Drew Barrymore's directorial debut, and she aims to please! This movie was fantastic!! She really captured the true meaning behind the Rollergirls and the Derby! I have always been a fan and remembered why watching this film!

Okay this movie is not for the faint of heart. This film almost reminds me of Crash the way the stories of each person inter-connect. However the subject material is more upsetting. It is in regards to immigrants and landed immigrants turned citizens. (U.S. based.) The trials and tribulations these people endure is what makes the movie. I usually am not into dramas, however this one was fantastic!
