Divine.ca is doing the Montreal’s Women’s Show this weekend at the Palais des Congres de Montreal. We have a kickass booth set up with fun prizes, a great contest, and free neck massages courtesy of our divine boy-toys, mmm.

I know, I know, I KNOW!
I’ve neglected my blog lately. I suck. I’m sorry. But I’m back now and ready to give you all my updates.
AT WORK:
Boy, oh boy, are you ladies in for a surprise. The divine gals and I have been working on a top secret project which we plan to launch next International Women’s Day. Call it a little present from us to you. Obviously, I can’t reveal any of the (juicy) details of this project—it is Top Secret after all—but I can tell you that step one of 3 has been completed and everyone working on it is having a blast!
AT WORK:
I know this is going to sound very generic, but my resolution for 2008 is to get back in shape. Not so much to lose weight, but to tone up so I can rock a bikini at a friend’s beach wedding next fall. Earlier this month Dave and I renewed our memberships at the YMCA, threw out most of our junk food, and started playing a few recreational sports. I’m happy to say that we are still going strong. We hit the gym at least 3 times a week. Play badminton twice a week. And, starting tomorrow, we will be playing dodge ball (yes, dodge ball) every Tuesday. That, I can’t wait to see!
The results so far have been pretty amazing. Not so much externally, but internally—I have tonnes of energy, I’m sleeping better, I’m less stressed… to make a long story short, I feel fantastic. I barely even notice the lack of TV anymore; the writers can continue to strike for all I care. I’m just kidding… TV please come back! I miss you so!

Costume and pumpkin contest results Thursday, November 1 2007 at 11:06 am
So…I tied for second place in the office costume party. The scarecrow (Calin, our technical director) swept up 75% of the votes (including mine). What can I say, such commitment to a costume deserves to be rewarded. Congrats Calin!
The pumpkin carving contest was lots of fun (see pictures here). We were split into teams of two and given one pumpkin, a cheapo Dollarama knife, a spoon, and 15 minutes of carving time. Since I was paired up with Marieve, the obvious choice was to turn our pumpkin into a kitty (a Hello Kitty to be exact).
Despite our superior carving skills, our jack-o-lantern failed to get any votes. *sob*
Mel and Copper ended up winning the contest with their Orc-like creation. Ah, good times were had by all.

Les photos de notre journée Halloween au bureau sont maintenant disponibles sur mon profil. Nous faisons un concours de costume, alors participez et votez pour votre costume favori. Je mettrai les résultats du concours sur mon blogue vers la fin de la journée (mercredi). Pour voter, laissez un commentaire sur la photo de votre choix, écrivez sur mon babillard ou sur ce billet de blogue.
Aussi au programme d’aujourd’hui, un concours de creusage de citrouilles. Manier les couteaux habillement dans un temps limite peut s'avérer un désastre, mais nous nous lançons quand même dans cette activité. J'espère vous montrer des photos de cela également.

Hey all,
Pictures from our office Halloween party are currently up on my profile. We’re having a little costume contest, so feel free to vote for your favourite (VOTE FOR THE PEANUT!!!). I’ll post the results on my blog at the end of the day (Wednesday). To vote just leave a comment on any of the Halloween pictures, my board, or this blog entry.
Also on the agenda today, a pumpkin carving contest. Handling sharp knives on a time limit may spell disaster for some, but we’re throwing caution to the wind and going forward with the event anyway. I hope to bring you pictures of that, too.

Last year, for Chris’s (the head of the company) 34th birthday, we filled his blue office with blue balloons—his favourite colour is blue, by the way.

**for the record, we’re not mean enough to let him sit in his freshly painted office permanently. We’ve offered to repaint but he decided to keep the walls as they are until we move to our new offices this November.

I've been getting a lot of great requests and suggestions for new group topics. That's why we are currently working on a feature that will allow all users to create and moderate their own groups. We expect to launch this addition by mid-October. However, I do hope to get as many of your suggestions up and running before that. Thanks in advance for your patience and keep those comments coming!

Work updates, vegetarianism, and other good stuff Friday, August 31 2007 at 11:15 am
I've been back from vacation for two weeks and I still haven't written anything on my blog. Shame on me.
I do have a few good excuses, though. Things around the office have been c-r-a-z-y lately. In addition to catching up on everything that happened during my absence, we are also busting our butts to make sure that the French version of idivine is ready for its scheduled launch, while we continue to add to and improve English idivine (check out the points and ranking system we’ve just implemented). And of course, we are preparing for our yearly breast cancer special and Scratch for the Cure contest. There are tonnes of interesting stuff in store for September and October, so stay tuned.
On a personal level, Dave and I have become vegetarians for the month. We ate so much meat before and during our trip that I felt my poor stomach and intestines needed a little break. And since I refuse (i.e. can’t bring myself) to eat salad while Dave enjoys a large rare steak, I convinced him to join me on this diet.
It’s been a struggle coming up with a variety of meatless dishes that interesting enough to keep my carnivore from straying; but so far, we’ve both been good. Two and half weeks to go before we celebrate the end of our diet with a softball-sized filet mignon at Moishe’s. Mmmmm. I can’t wait.
