Wow,,,it has been awhile now since my last blog,,
How are you all doing...holidays all gone by, over a month now into 2010, were does the time go?
We once again spent Xmas with our 2 oldest girls in Alberta,,told them this next Xmas we are staying home,,so I am hoping they can all come home for Xmas 2010.
Janruary just sped by, I worked lots cause one girl was away on holidays for a week, then it seems like someone is always sick so I am picking up shifts here and there.
In November hubby and I let Maria, our youngest whom is living at home here, get a new puppy,,it is a rough collie, Charlie,,he is actually so much fun. He has kinda woken up this sleep old house and the occupents in it...LOL
Daisy our border collie, is getting more used to him now, and they are doing great together. She is teaching him lots of good things.
Then when we got to Alberta for Xmas our middle daughter Bobbi and her man,,had also gotten themselves a new puppy, a australian sheppard crossed with border collie,,a little girl puppy named Frankie (see picture below)
As you can see in the picture Frankie and my grandson Jaxson are best friends..
So yeh,,,now it is February, I am still working lots,, and trying to keep up to the house work.
Have been online lots but get so caught up in Facebook and all the apps, that I totally miss out coming here...
Well not much else is new,,,I also posted a bunch of xmas photos...

I Caved in today,,,daughter got new puppy

So yeh,,Maria has been bugging David and I for a couple weeks now,,,she wanted a puppy..we have had many discussions since she started,,some heated and some not,,,
OMG,,then I saw pictures,,,and then ofcourse David and I both are animal lovers,,,
Anyhow,,I caved,,I gave her the money to get the dog,(she doesn't get paid til friday) at which time she will pay me back,,and sent her on her way today about noon to pick it up,,then I bore the rath of David saying how could you,,I thought we agree that no ,,no more dogs,,,but then again,,he was smiling the whole time,,then he said well ofcourse I will get to name him,,,
So yeh,,she left around noon today,,had to drive to Barriere to pick it up,,(about an hour north of Kamloops) so about a 3 hr drive from Lumby..She got home just a bit ago,,,oohhhhhhh what a sweetie, he has no name yet,,any new animal in this house my hubby gets to name,,so will let you know his name as soon as I know,,

Yeh so Maria (our youngest) is driving home after work today.
We recently had my old 1989 honda fixed up with new muffler etc for her to drive.
So yeh,,she sees a police car is behind her,,but all is OK she has her N displayed, (shows she is a new driver) she is not speeding and we knew all lights etc were working cause we had them all checked etc...the police car follows her for sometime,,then she hears it and sees the lights,,,so she pulls over...
Her heart is racing (first time being pulled over by cops) she is close to tears cause she has no idea what she could have done wrong,,,,, the officer asks for her license and insurance papers for the car,,she has her license out already and hands that to the office and reaches across to get the insurance papers out of glove box,,,as she is doing this the office says ,,you do have insurance don't you,,she says Yes,,my mom just insured the car just the other day, as she is handing the insurance papers to office,which are in a clear plastic folder,,the cop snickers and says ,,,AH, then those must be the stickers that are supposed to be on your back plate stapled to the folder,,,,,please just step outta the car and apply your stickers and your good to go......
OMG,,,she said by then she was basically crying in relief,,,,
once she put the stickers on,,watched the police drive away,,she called me on her cell phone while she was still pulled over,,,she told me everything,,I said was your heart racing,,were you close to tears,,she said YES,,,I told her I was too the first time I ever got pulled over,, we had a Good Laugh,,Very Glad the Officer did not give her a fine,,,,and then she said see you soon,,be right home,,,Wow...she has been driving the car since Tuesday without the insurance stickers on the back license plate,,,,
I think she needed to calm down before she proceeded to drive home,,,OMG,,I am still giggling about it,,,,poor Girl,,, |

This is What I won in this contest..am not exactly sure yet on value of my prize but I looked around and I would guess arv is $300.
Now I will have my own binoculars when hubby and I go out hunting....
