It has been a very long time. I try to pop in once in a while. The busy schedule makes things difficult these days and Facebook is more popular. I still have not figured out twitter. I am glad you ahve some of that negativety out of your life. Some of that has been in ours lately and we have been doing the same and pushing some of it out. Hope your daughter is doing well. My stepdauther is now 15 and just started hanging out with a boy so no how it feels. All a new adjustment and a close eye of course...lol. Good for your 19 year old. Hope school goes well. I did not do well my 1st time in college. Took me the 2nd time a few years ago to get things straight. Perception is very different when older and choose something I would actually enjoy and suits me better. Now I am in eduation and love it. I wish you the best with all the new endeavors and pop in once in a while:)

So very sorry to hear about your friend. It`s terrible watching the ones we love suffer as they leave this world, a cruel punishment for living, and yet it happens. I`ll pray for her transition to be comfortable, pray for the family to be strong, and for you in condolence and love.

Been a year but hope your christmas went better this year. Ours was a struggle but we made it all about our daughter. Don`t get on much these days either busy with the little one and our stepdaughter and also permanent now at my job but still like to pop on once in a while. Wish you the best this year!

Just want to say sorry to my friends here for not getting back to people here. Life has been too crazy! I am busy with my youngest, she is down to 100 pounds and is 5ft6 inches, her dr thinks she has an eating disorder. At least she is not using drugs anymore, so now we deal with this! Also I have 2 good friends with cancer in the hospital and one that just died, we are off to her service today. I will try and get back here more often. I hope life is good for you all!

Oh Wendy I know your pain with Jade. My son Kris is almost 17 and into the same crap as yours. He hates the rules at home so much, which are school, respect and curfew, that he left home. He`s giving my sister a run for her money at the moment and doesn`t seem to be improving in the least. I fear jail is in his future. Sadly. He has to learn though that there is consequences to his decisions. So glad you have a chance to help your daughter turn it around. Be patient if she is doing well, and remember lots of positive reinforcement. That seems to give them an extra push when they need it too.
Other than our kids, how has things been? Hows` the health? I`m doing alright, staying quiet and with that crappy year I had last year, a quiet one is just what I need. :-)
I`m making ribs in the slow cooker, but am going to go eat now... driving me nuts smelling them I can`t take it anymore.. lol... talk to you later.

Thanks for your message. I am trying to do the same, not worry so much about what I cannot do and focus on what I can. Still without my son at home, and now he isn`t talking to me at all, but I will be here when he grows up and flies straight.

i know what you mean, it really is so hard raising kids!!, but they will get it,, but it is always too late when they do get it!,,they drive me nuts, they think they know it all,,,,,sigh,,,,, it is hard to be a trooper when you are this old!

Oh my goodness! Sounds like you have had a lot of action around your house. My son is guilty of smoking pot too, I think that`s where some of the problems I have had with him come from. He`s still not living at home, and unfortunately doesn`t look to be learning much either....
Christmas is here pretty near, and I`m actually excited this year. Going to go to the in-laws on Christmas Day, but other than that I plan on staying home and drinking... LOL
I hope you have a nice Christmas, sounds like it will be quiet and that can be really nice!

Wendy so glad you are on the mend...its been a rough week,,a very dear friend of mine past away on Tuesday and than a friend of Frank and mine on Thursday,,so just got home from the house,,went to funeral home Tuesday and today the funeral,,very sad..
But so happy all went well for you!!!!
