Well to be truthful, the reason why I cannot commit to a quit day is because I actually enjoy most of the cigs I smoke. I know...that is such a STUPID AND RIDICULOUS comment but it is an honest one. I just have to think of my health and I have been doing that a lot lately especially since Cindylee made the commitment. It is a good thing that smoking is banned in all public places, we all smoke a lot less but quitting altogether would be a wonderful thing. I actually did try to quit last year and used the patch but after three days I took the patch off to have a cigarette then put it back on. Then I started doing that on a regular basis a couple of times a day so I ditched the patch. I just wasn`t committed but one day I hope to follow in your`s and Cindylee`s footsteps... |

Well am not feeling too good today,,thinking I have a touch of the flu,,,I really do feel like I could throw up,,,stomach very unsettled..and still have a headache...nasty feeling..

How did it go in the snow? Did you end up building an igloo or snowman? lol Yeah I agree with the smoking. My husband is pretty good though opening a window or not smoking it towards me but I know i still get it. What I don`t like is when a group of friends are around all smoking on a weekend night. I wake up in the middle of the night with exetremly watery eyes like i`m crying and in the morning I have a major sinus headache and feel miserable all day. I find some of them quite rude and don`t think. I do have one polite friend that goes out of her own way and stands at the door of the balcony which I appreciate. |

I wish I could cut down to 8 cigs a day... one of these days I will plan a quit date but I am just not quite ready to commit yet.
Nothing much happening here today, Terry & I went to the shopping centre for awhile, went to the dollar store and bought all kinds of STUFF that I don`t really need to add to the STUFF I already have then went to the pet shop. I love looking at the puppies there but it really bothers me to see them cooped up in those glass enclosures. OMG there were a few adorable pups and sometimes I am tempted to bring one home but living in the city one dog at a time is plenty (sigh). Then I looked at birds, considered buying one then realized how dirty their cages get and nixed that idea. I decided that if I were to get a second pet another dog would win hands down.

Hey ,,Thats great,,your really doing great,,,say have you gotten yourself some nicotine gum or sonmthing else,,it does help..
David and Ria are getting supper ready,,,moose roast, mashed potatoes and coleslaw,,I am making the gravy ..neither of them have master that one yet..

Yes I love to ride, I got to ride a bit in the summer with a girlfriend of mine and it was great! I have been contemplating taking some lessons for fun too, but it is hard to commit to anything when you have a husband and kid! :) So you had an Arabian, I bet she was a beauty... They are an awesome breed for horses! I have never owned my own horse and grew up around them my whole life, horse camp in the summer and alot of my family owns horses as well! Actually my aunt and uncle breed Appaloosa`s in New Brunswick, they have about 25 horses on their farm and it is beautiful!
My Best friend also went to OZ, she wasn`t a big fan of Sydney but she loved staying in Surfer`s Paradise.. She lived there for a year, she has been all over the world and still says that Halifax Nova Scotia is her favorite city! I can`t wait to see Hawaii, I on the other hand have only been as far as Boston and never on a plane before, so it should be quite the adventure.. I think it is going to give me the traveling bug though! My poor already over worked husband! Anyways thats all for now and talk to you again soon! |

And with being on the computer- your hands and mind will be occupied and you won`t have time to have a smoke. cut up carrots on hand may keep the mind tricked when you feel like reaching for a smoke? Not that I know what I`m talking about - I don`t smoke. My dad, when he quit - went through enormous amounts of gum. Take care Wendy. Good morning Artsee I am happy to hear that you had a better day and it will only get better. Try to find some type of snack (preferably a healthy one) that you can enjoy and stuff into your mouth when you get the urge. LOL
I have confidence in you and know that you can do it.

Hey ..Wendy thats fantastic..yep that morning cig is the worst..was for me..oh yeh..first thing i would go for ,,light one up then make the coffee..and Yep evening were hard too...Lets see...go to your Quit site..is there a chat room there..That is what I still do,,when having a craving I chew my gum,( which I have all over the house with in reaching distance from me)..and go online and chat with someone,,or phone one of my girls...they talk me through a craving...
Yes ,,if you would like to do a painting from one of my pictures,,by all means,,go ahead...
My day is going good,,just slowly catching up here...cause once I went outside yesterday I never got a chance to come back on the net..so tons of emails and tons to catch up on here...
And hey...A WEEK...I reached a week smoke free....Yipppeeee..
