Hi everyone. I`ve been curious about the field. I have a great passion for the health and safety of animals. In fact, I`m a Vegan for many reasons, but primarily so I do not harm another living creature. Also, I have a true reverence for nature and this is why I follow the Wiccan path (in case you see my name and wondered). I know that I can start learning through evening classes for a Veterinary Technician Diploma but am curious what the day to day routine is, what is involved, what obstacles happen..etc. I`m 42 and I don`t know how much memorization I can absorb..it`s been a long time since I`ve taken classes like biology. I am a college graduate in Admin Exec. Perhaps that helps? Is it a rewarding career? Currently I do well at my job, but I`m not feeling fulfilled or rewarded. I don`t feel like I`m `helping` anyone or doing something positive. I look forward to reading posts here. Thanks!
hi i`m interested in becoming an AHT mostly because i love animals and have great concern for their health. I am currently researching what i am needing to do in regards to upgrading and volunteer experience for the local program here.
