With spring finally here, we’re all looking for a fresh new look… and that includes for our home! Doing a major renovation or huge décor job can be expensive, but there’s no need to spend lots of time and money on giving your place a fresh face: we’ve got seven quick, easy and inexpensive ways you can revamp any room in your home!

Do some spring cleaning.
Before you paint, re-arrange stuff, or buy new furniture, try doing a thorough cleaning of your home. Dust everything, toss out junk that’s taking up space, clean your curtains, you name it. Doing so will really renew and open up your home, making you see it in a whole new light.

Re-arrange furniture.
There’s no real need to buy new furniture when you’re looking to give your home a new style. Sometimes, all you need to do is play around with the space you’re looking to revamp. Move around your furniture, be it in the bedroom or the living room, and this will give it a fresher look and feel.

Get one focal piece.
It’s important to have a focal piece in any room. It doesn’t have to be anything too pricey, perhaps a gorgeous inexpensive piece of art (even one made by you or a family member) or a new coffee table, purchased at a thrift shop or garage sale. It’ll be the first thing your guests will see when they enter the room, and will surely liven the place up!

Do some painting.
Adding a fresh coat of colour is an inexpensive way to brighten up any room, as well as give it an altogether new look. If painting all four walls is daunting, you can easily just paint door frames and trim that will make for a sharp contrast to the existing wall colour. Even painting certain furniture pieces can significantly change a room!

Fix the lighting.
Sometimes, all you need is some good lighting to really brighten up a place! Change the light bulbs in your home, and then play around with light: get a new lamp, change a few old-looking light fixtures, and perhaps hang some above your favourite wall paintings to shine a literal light on them!

Get new décor accents.
From throw pillows and a new rug, to a different set of curtains and a few framed photos to hang on your wall, small and inexpensive pieces can go a long way in changing the look and feel of your home!

Bring plants into your home.
Unless you’re not a big fan of flora, plants are a fantastic addition to your home! They add a touch of colour and fragrance, and they can really brighten and freshen up a room. Place a few by the window sill, a bouquet of flowers on a hallway table, or simply a tall potted plant in the corner of a room to switch things up!
