Calgary, Alberta has the highest percentage of single men amongst the above-mentioned cities (almost 49%), and the highest single man-to-single woman ratio of them all.

City with the least dating potential: Victoria, British Columbia may have a large singleton population (77%) but, unfortunately, only a meagre 27% of them are men.

*These numbers are from Statistics Canada’s 2006 Census, and are based on the population that listed themselves as “not in a common-law relationship”. The numbers of single people include those listed as “never married”, “separated”, “divorced”, and “widowed”.

The math for this article is just plain wrong. If Victoria's population is 77.71% single, and only 27.71% of the singles are male, then there is no way that the ratio of Single Men to Single Women is not 7.8:10. The ratio would have to be more like 1:3. I know it is an old article, but yah just can't let bad math go.
