My husband is back from Concord, Toronto. He went there for 2 weekends to do his EMR course upgrade from First Responder, as it's not offered as of yet in Quebec. Maybe in 6 months.

He got a higher position at his job so he didn't want to miss this opportunity and 6 months is too long of a wait.

Last weekend he passed the theory exam & this weekend he passed the practical exam & the scenarios are pretty graphic. It's the kind of stuff you see in horror flics. These scenarios are based on what the paramedics would see in reality.

I'm very proud of my husband & how well he did in the course. He is now a full fledged paramedic in Quebec.

At least he stayed in a decent motel but far from everything. It's located on Highway 7, what we call a truck stop motel & diner.

He took some pics of his motel room & outdoor surroundings which I will post. And he also took some pics of the paramedic course but I won't post them unless someone demands to see because of graphic content,even though the injuries are not real. They were done by a special effects artist.

Summer Vacation

I have the summer off and starting my vacation as of today. I have a few things planned out to keep me busy.

My husband has 2 weeks vacation & left Sunday morning to Toronto for a few days to do an EMR course. 

Why Toronto? Because this course is not offered in Quebec, not yet anyways.

My son is finishing his school year tomorrow. He can't wait for summer. He will be spending the next 2 months with his father &  cousins.

He will have lots of activities to keep him busy. I'm not worried about him. He's in good hands. 

I can't wait for this weekend. It's a long weekend.
It's Easter weekend. 

I'm off from work, starting as of today & will return tuesday.

My son is going to spend 4 days with his father. He's going
to have a blast with his cousins.

I don't have to worry about him. I know he's in good hands.

I have 4 days to myself & plan to take advantage of it.

I might plan a get together with my friend. I haven't seen her in awhile & it would be nice to see her. 

I also have some movies to watch & some craft projects to make. 

I wanted to go out today, close by to my house not very far but don't feel like it anymore. It's been raining since this morning & hasn't stopped. It's muggy & it's chilly.

I'm very cosy right now in my bed. I've been watching re-runs of Charmed. I have all
8 Seasons, my husband got them for me. 

I hope it stops raining & maybe I could still go out later for a little bit.

Day 4

Today I'm finally cleaning my bedroom... I need to de-clutter it big time.

I'll start with the closet, it's such a mess. I have stuff that don't belong there...
I stored my DVDs, CDs, magazines, tons of shoes... at the time I didn't even think
I had that many pairs, but I do lol.

I need to buy a good & sturdy over-the-door shoe rack... will keep my shoes
dust  free & my closet floor clean.

Throw out all the magazines that I won't be keeping... either by recycling or
give them away.

Pack a few boxes with items that I won't be needing anymore... to be donated.

Dust all the furniture, clean the windows, sweep & mop. 

It's going to take me a good 2 hours to do everything... I have quite a lot of stuff.

Today I went to meet my bestfriend for coffee & do some catching up. The last

time I saw her was in January of this year... 2 months after she gave birth to her

son... he's so adorable.

After our coffee we went for a long walk, it was a beautiful day. Then her husband

came to pick us up & ended up going to her place, stayed there for a bit & then they

drove me home.

We spent a good 4 hours together, it was fun & we had a great time.

Can't wait for the next time, we might go see a movie or I'll invite her over to my place

for supper.
