Im very upset

Wow, Im telling you I am so upset right now.. This family that I take care of there child, is expecting a second child in November. She informed me that her girl would be with me until then. I asked for sure and she said yes..I just wanted to know so that if it was going to be sooner than I could advertise for another child. People in general are looking ahead like 6-12 months prior to going back to work.
Well she comes in this morning and tells me that they got her girl in a day care center.. which means they had her on a list from day one.
Im ok with this the only thing that upsets me is People just be honest up front. If you are on a waiting list for a Day Care Center and need temporary care please mention it than we can use our descretion whether or not to take your child. You are taking a spot that some family who wants private not public could use and our spots are limited as well. There are no lack of Children its just the process. And theres also other families to consider.
These Day Care centers annoy me.. Im not speaking for all centers but the ones in my area... do not take kids before 18 months than they are only allowed 4 children in that age group. So where do all the children younger go.. and if you are already in a center with your first child what happens to your second one until they turn 18 months old??? Most Mat leaves are 12 months.. ummm
The Government really needs to address this situation instead of opening more centers.....
Ok back to why Im so upset... here we are all happy and proud of our Daughter GRaduating tomorrow and she just took the wind outof my sail... honestly she could have waited until monday. It doesn't pay to wear your heart on your sleeve...
Anyways anyone in winnipeg who is looking for a private home child care I have one full time coming up in July/August..
Well thanks for listening I just needed to vent... I usually don';t let these things upset me . It is what it is but this is the first time in 17 years someone pulled that on me so I guess my feelings and pride are hurt.... toodles
