After the birthday party

| OMG - kids today are brats. I was never so happy to have a party end - the kids exhausted me. One kid acted out the whole time - if you asked them to do one thing for the games - he did something else. His gift also included 2 rolls of life savers - which he managed to eat one whole roll before I took them away from him. He also polished off a few chocolate coins before I could get those away from him - and when I had just told them all to not eat the candy until after the pizza. Another kid kept asking over and over why they couldn't play in the family room or my son's room. And when I answered - he still kept repeating why why why. A third kid hated pizza, chocolate, the juice I served - no matter what - he didn't like it. GRRRRR. My house - including the rooms they were asked not to go into but ended up in anyway - were a total disaster - broken toys (inlcuding a brand new birthday present broken by the kid who couldn't listen - he broke the toy - got up and went to get another toy - ah, Ii don't think so. and then when his grandpa came to get him - the darn kid wouldn't leave - wouldn't listen to him. I had to get his coat and guide him to the door while taking Andrew's toys out of his hands. I also told him if he couldn't behave he wouldn't be welcome back, and that I know he can be good cause we usually have a good time and lots of fun when we do things together). Next year - I'm outsourcing my son's party - well have it at Mcdonalds or somewhere else.So much for my excitement of having all the games planned and all the pictures I wanted to take. I ended up watching my neighbours 1 and 1/2 yr old while trying to have the party. Mind you - he was the most behaved child - other than my son - and I'm not just saying my son was well behaved cause he's mine. After 2 hours of those kids - makes me appreciate my son and how well behaved he is. |
