Today is recycle day where I live. Where I am, we don't have bluebox, graybox, and greenbox. I have one bluebox recycle day and they take everything at that time except for greenbox stuff like food scraps. Since I am a rural dweller I am able to compost anyway. I don't put my bluebox out every week because I don't really have much to put in it. Usually it only has newspapers and flyers. These all come free in the mailbox - about 4 a week (this seems to me an excessive amount of waste). Anyway what with all the newspaper and an occasional coffee jar, cereal box or vegetable can I put my bluebox out once every 2 months.
FYI - even if you don't put your recycle every week you don't get a credit on your tax bill. |
