Thanks Hope yours is going well. Things have been a little stressful financially but what`s new there. February always gets me down a bit with the cold etc. but love my PVR to catch up on all the shows this month. Can`t believe my daughter is starting school soon so very excited for that and have been loving my new career in education. Can`t complaing too much at the moment with all the Valentine`s day chocolate from the students and hubby...lol

Hi there! I thought I had better get back to this site and see what is happening here! Sorry that it has taken so long getting back to you, hope all is good in your life. We had a great holiday, but after we had some issues with my hubby`s brother, whom we took in for a year and got him set up in an apartment etc. He has been here in Kingston for 3 yrs, and during that time our youngest got close to her uncle. He did something that we cannot forget, the trust is broken, so now he is out of our lives and we are finally getting back to some peace around here. I tried telling my husband that he wasn`t a good influence on Jade, but he didn`t want to hear it. Jade took it hard, but is now doing much better, she is in theatre complete program and loves it, she had to audition for it and got in! My health is up and down. We also have lost a few more friends, that have died and have my best girlfriend dying with stage 4 cancer, they gave her 3 months and has been nearly 5 months now, she has been in hospital all that time in a care placement, and she just lays on her back all the time....so sad, just laying waiting to die.

Hi there am sorry has taken me so long to get back to you! Gee sounds like you have some issues with kids too??? Mine seem to keep me going...and going! Our oldest Robyn has been doing great lately, she has kept her tone down and realizes that we are not her own personal bank acct! She has to pay for her own entrance feefor college and she somehow did that! After the blow up a month ago! As for her sis Jade who is 15...well, she has been giving us a go for our money! Skipping school, smoking pot and involved with older boys..21 yrs old! Jade has a real attitude at times...but understanding that she will end up where she is suppose to be, so now am letting her know consequences, then stepping back and letting her make some choices.This older guy who she thinks is nice....well got a call that he is now in jail!!!! Long story, but since he`s been locked up jade hasn`t skipped or gotten high. so now we are working hard to try and help her with school work, cause she is soooo behind from skipping etc, so we hired a tutor, which has helped, today am helping her with history....that should be fun!Ha ha! How old is your son again? How`s life treating you?

Hey there stranger how`s things going for you? Hope all is well! Are you going any where for the holiday? I`m staying home and cooking the bird and we are also going out socializing with friends. Have had some health issues going on, but better today...just need to finish the wrapping of the gifts! Need more time in the day! Oh ya..our youngest was suspended twice, first time for being stoned on pot, then for going to the drug dealers house, but she didn`t get stoned...gee..oh ya. I also jumped into a fight that my oldest got into at the mall..held down the girl that was fighting with her..then the cops came..so..now all is quiet..ha ha. Gotta love life!

Oh sweetie I have no doubt you are drained. Look after you - you are no good to anyone if you fall apart. Sorry to hear re your step-dad...rough times.
Sounds like your son is making some bad choices - much like my brother did at that age. My brother was a nightmare - he says so himself now. I don`t know how my poor parents survived it. He got booted from his 2nd high school for smoking hash on school grounds, then went to live with a girlfriend (at 16) and never graduated. Long story short he is now a very wonderful man, a fireman in West Van where we grew up and did finally grown into his own skin. Nobody could have made him though, he had to get there on his own.

i know the feeling, you cannot sleep, cause you do not know if the cops will call or if they are alive or dead!~ stress and more stress, i would eat nothing, and drink lots!!!, but just think, you did the best,,,, try to reach out and just let him know, you do love him!
