Outdoor Pick-Up Spots

Summer is the perfect time to let down your hair, put on a fancy skirt and get out of the house for some fun and flirting. Clubs and bars are your usual choices throughout the year, but the warm season offers more places to stop by and meet that potential Mr. Right. Here are six locations to begin your hunt!

Outdoor terraces
You love pubs, checking out the yummy prospects at the other end of the bar. With summer come patios for you to experience the bar scene outdoors. You and your friends can buy a round to the table of cute guys nearby, or when that hottie buys you a drink, stop by his table and thank him personally.

Concerts
Outdoor concerts are in abundance in the summer, and they’re the perfect place to meet someone new within the (unfortunately) sweaty crowd. It’s noisy, sure, but definitely romantic with the music, the lights, the setting sun, and the cool night air. The plus is that any potential candidate will have the same taste in music as you—a great conversation starter right there!

Amusement parks
A day of riding roller coasters and eating cotton candy is a summertime staple, and thus a perfect hotspot to meet someone new. Literally bump into your cutie-of-choice at the bumper cars, or root for that guy trying to knock down those cans with a baseball. Positively comment on his pitching prowess; he may just hand you over his prize… and his phone number.

The park
It’s probably the last place you’d think to meet someone, but as you’re riding your bike, taking Fido for a stroll, or even just reading a book under a tree, a certain cute male is probably doing the same. Soon enough, you’ll both be “accidentally” bumping into one another, or meeting up on a regular basis to walk your dogs together—and get to know each other a little better.

The beach
You’re wearing next-to-nothing, and so are all the hot guys tossing around a Frisbee in the sand. It doesn’t get any better than that! We’re ultimately flirtier in such warm weather, so invite those guys to sit with you and the girls for a while; get one of ‘em to help apply sunscreen on your hard-to-reach spots, and be sure to participate in game of beach volleyball so that you can show off your athletic abilities!

BBQs
Large gatherings amongst friends are the perfect way to meet someone new! Surely your friends and colleagues are organizing barbecues in their backyards this summer, so make sure you’re the first one to RSVP! Full of good friends, drinks, and meats—and your BFF’s brother-in-law or your male colleague’s best bud—it’s a great occasion to meet that special someone within a warm and comfortable ambiance.
