How to Tell He's Into You

    By Vicki Karigiannis
    Published March 27, 2009

As much as we are a mystery to men, guys can also tend to boggle our minds. Case in point: trying to figure out if a guy is into you can sometimes be harder than deciphering Morse code. We’ve got 10 signs—from his behaviour to his body language—that will easily tell you whether he wants you.

    He raises his eyebrows.
An eyebrow arch upon first meeting shows his initial intrigue of you, curious to see what you’re all about. During further conversation, his raised eyebrows imply that he finds you utterly fascinating.

    He looks into your eyes.
Eye contact is a strong indicator of liking someone and showing interest, so if he can’t keep his eyes off of you, you’re golden. Bonus points if his pupils are dilated; it means he’s definitely attracted to you.

    He stands close to you.
When a guy is into you, his body language will dictate it: if he sits or stands close, it indicates that he literally and figuratively wants to bridge the gap between the both of you.

    He touches you.
Men can be tactile creatures, so he’ll do whatever he can to purposely get his hands on you. “Accidentally” bumping into you, picking a piece of invisible lint off your shirt or putting his hand on the small of your back are some great indicators he’s into you.

    He notices your new haircut.
Men (for the most part) can be clueless with things like hair and clothes, so if he actually compliments your new ‘do or notices your new top, that’s an obvious sign he’s interested.

    He boasts about himself.
Don’t be too turned off if he gets a bit on the cocky side. Tooting his own horn is merely to show you his accomplishments and for you to see how great he is. If he’s interested, he’ll want to hear all about you, too.

    He likes what you like.
Sure, a guy has his personal interests, but he will do his best to find commonalities between you and him. He’ll probably also have worked up some knowledge on some of your favourite things, just so he can share some of your interests.

He wants to be a part of your life.
This could be anything from asking questions about your life and being genuinely concerned about you to wanting to hang out with you often. If it seems he wants to get to know you and spend time with you, it’s obvious he wants to be more than friends.

He tells his friends about you.
You may not know his buddies but they sure know a lot about you! This is a sign that he brings you up in conversation with them quite a bit.

    He flaunts his crotch.
Like any man, he may, ahem, want to show you all he has to offer. If he’s sitting before you, body language experts say that he may spread his legs wide, hoping to subtly direct your attention to his package.
